00:00I'm Michael Hunt, President of the Timberne Demons Football Netball Club.
00:04We're applying for funding from the government.
00:08So far we've received very, very little at all.
00:11Councils can only give us what they've been given themselves.
00:15If you look around here, we've got a netball set up.
00:17We have to go to two courts because of the numbers that we have.
00:22We need A-grade and A-reserve across the board in all the juniors.
00:26We're turning kids away, which is disappointing and it makes the coach's job a hell of a lot harder.
00:32We're involved in all the junior programs.
00:35We're doing everything we can to make sure we're capable of not just the netball.
00:40Over in our club rooms now, we do 220 meals on a Thursday night up to 250 in two sittings
00:47because the junior kids get fed early with their parents
00:51and they're all hanging around, being part of our system.
00:54So we need to extend out the front of the club rooms
00:57and we also need to put netting behind the goalposts over there
01:02because we're losing a lot of time in games when the ball's going right over to the bush.
01:07But generally, we just want some support.
01:10We've got the numbers. We've got the area.
01:12We go from all the way from Port Campbell, Prince Town,
01:16right back around Scotts Creek, Currimungle,
01:18back to Peterborough, Timboon Township, 1300, Port Campbell, 500.
01:23It's growing. The numbers are here.
01:25We've got schools. We've got kindergartens.
01:27We've got hospitals. We've got everything we need.
01:29We just want an upgrade and some money spent here to help us get through this.
