01:02Also, the BMC has set up 70 natural immersion points and 290 artificial ponds across the city.
01:11The civic body has urged the citizen to prefer artificial ponds for immersion over natural bodies to reduce the environmental impact of the idol.
01:21The resultant water pollution, BMC has also launched a dedicated link to their official website and QR codes to help devotees locate the nearest artificial ponds to their home.
01:34Additionally, near 10,000 officials and staff will remain deployed across the immersion spots to ensure safe, peaceful and efficient Mumbai Ganesh Visarjan ceremony.
