West Bromwich Albion are celebrating 125 years of The Hawthorns, one of English football’s most historic grounds, with a packed programme of events designed to honour its proud past and reconnect with generations of supporters.
Built in 1900 on the site of the old Hawthorns estate, the stadium became the first Football League ground of the 20th century.

00:35and in a 1-1 draw with Derby County.
00:38Steve Bloomer, one of the era's most celebrated England internationals,
00:42scored for Derby before Chippy Simmons netted Albion's first ever Hawthorns gold
00:47to level the contest.
00:49That same fixture will be replayed in spirit this season
00:53when Albion again host Derby in the Championship.
00:57with 26,850 fans expected to pack the stands.
01:02Before then, the celebrations will feature a charity Clash of the Legends match
01:06on Saturday 6th September.
01:09A home nation's side of club greats will face the rest of World XI
01:12with names such as Chris Brunt, James Morrison,
01:15Jake Livermore, Robert Earnshaw, Claudio Jacob,
01:18Zoltang Gira and Jason Roberts are all set to roll back the years.
