00:00Welcome back to Mobile Physio, to keep you mobile, powerful, and flexible.
00:05In today's video, I'll show you a simple but highly effective stretch called the supine spinal twist.
00:11This is great for relieving lower back tension, improving spine mobility, and giving your body a deep, refreshing stretch.
00:18Lie down flat on your back with your legs extended and arms relaxed by your sides.
00:23Now bend your right knee and bring it towards your chest.
00:26Slowly guide your right knee across your body to the left side, letting it fall gently toward the floor.
00:33Keep both shoulders grounded.
00:36Extend your right arm out at shoulder level, palm facing up, and gently turn your head to look towards your right hand.
00:43Hold this stretch for about 20 to 40 seconds, breathing deeply.
00:47Then slowly return to the center and repeat on the other side.
00:51Tip safety, don't force your knee down, allow gravity to do the work.
00:55If your knee doesn't reach the floor, you can place a pillow or yoga block underneath for support.
01:01Avoid this stretch if you have severe back injuries, herniated discs, or if your doctor has advised against spinal twists.
01:09And that's the supine spinal twist.
01:12A gentle but powerful way to relieve stiffness and keep your spine healthy.
01:16Try adding this to your daily routine for better flexibility and relaxation.
