00:00all right let's take a look at the futures here this is going to be the futures for
00:10thursday september 4th we are in the green but still kind of flattish s&p futures up just shy
00:18of two tenths at 0.17 percent dow futures down actually flat here down 0.01 percent
00:24and the nasdaq up by a quarter of a percent uh let's take a look at some of the cues from the
00:32last session most sectors on the s&p 500 closed on a negative note with industrials energy and
00:39material stocks recording the biggest losses on wednesday however communication services and
00:45information technology stocks bucked the overall market trend closing the session higher and leading
00:50u.s stocks to a mixed settlement with the nasdaq composite gaining one percent shares of alphabet
00:57class c which is ticker g-o-o-g jumped over nine percent after the u.s court issued remedies
01:02in the department of justice antitrust case that were less severe than feared apple also the
01:08beneficiary of that ruling that gained about four percent as the ruling preserves the lucrative
01:13revenue stream google of course paying apple to include chrome in their ecosystem also campbell's
01:20ticker cpb uh shares gained seven percent after posting better than expected earnings while macy's
01:26ticker m jumped more than 20 percent after raising its full year 2025 guidance contributing to the
01:33negative sentiment on the economic front u.s job openings declined by 176 000 to 7.18 million in
01:40july of 2025 that falls short of market expectations of 7.4 million new orders for u.s manufactured goods
01:48also declined by 1.3 percent month over month to 603.6 billion in july this follows a 4.8 plunge
01:57in the prior month um let's also take a look at what's going on here the big macro news the trump
02:05administration filed an appeal with the supreme court on wednesday asking for an expedited review
02:10after federal appeals court declared last week that the president had overstepped his authority
02:15quote if we don't win that case our country is going to suffer so greatly so greatly end quote

02:27trade agreements negotiated with major allies including the european union japan and south korea
02:34in recent months the 10-year treasury bond yielded 4.2 percent the two-year bond was at 3.6 percent
