00:00Rolling camera and action!
00:03In Downton Abbey 3, we're in 1930 and it's the Crawleys against the world.
00:08Don't you see what this means for Downton?
00:10Times as per usual in Downton are inexorably changing and full of dramatic events.
00:19The news is bad, isn't it?
00:20How could you tell?
00:21The principal adventure for the Crawleys this time is the social calendar.
00:27To go to the races and to go to the theatre and see London Society.
00:32Before the whole thing implodes a scandal.
00:35Lady Mary must go now. She's divorced!
00:39I'm very sorry. I shouldn't have come.
00:44Lady Mary's divorce has opened up a new chapter in her life. A daunting one.
00:50That is what's happened. Now you must just get on with it.
00:53What about her running Downton? Don't you want her in command?
00:57But she's ready to embark on taking the reins at Downton.
01:02A lot of the characters are looking at retirement, at re-negotiating life as they knew it.
01:08The world is changing. The way we talk, the way we dress, the way we deal with each other.
01:12And it was very exciting to work with new characters.
01:15Julian, he's so good at picking the little jewels from every era.
01:19And to have Noel Coward in is such a bold move because he's very much the soul of that time.
01:26Noel was this total powerhouse of theatre and a style icon.
01:31Bravo!
01:32And all these characters that audiences love, I think of them as my family.
01:40This one's really up to the scale.
01:42The costumes, the story, it's glorious and glamorous and stunning.
01:47I think this is a beautiful way to end it. I'll miss it.
01:50The future of Downton Abbey is now in Mary's hands.
01:55You will be a sensation.
01:57Downton is made for the big screen.
01:59I love being able to go to a cinema and just put my phone down and just be immersed in it and escape.
02:06Long live Downton Abbey. I'll enter that.
