00:00The number one thing I can help you with if you're a CEO is to conquer your fears around AI.

00:05I get a lot of CEOs who are very, very smart.

00:08They've gone to great universities.

00:10They've got MBAs.

00:11They're in their 30s and 40s.

00:13And they're leading billion-dollar companies.

00:15But they have a crippling fear of AI.

00:18And so what I try to do in this short video is to share three reasons why you should not be afraid of AI,

00:24why it's actually going to help you as a CEO, and how it's going to make your life easier.

00:28Number one, it's going to give you superpowers.

00:32When you think about the CEOs that you admire most, the people that you look up to, the people that you want to emulate,

00:39they all have one thing in common.

00:41They've been able to leverage technology to give themselves superpowers.

00:45The Industrial Revolution was powered by the steam engine, the internal combustion engine,

00:50and then the Digital Revolution was powered by the personal computer and then the smartphone.

00:55Now, the AI revolution is here, and it's going to give you superpowers.

01:00As a CEO, you have to make sure that you don't get left behind.

01:04So the first way that AI is going to help you as a CEO is by giving you superpowers.

01:09The second way is it's going to allow you to focus on higher-value activities.

01:15What I find with most CEOs is they are spending far too much time on activities that don't really move the needle.

01:21As a CEO, you should focus on the activities that only you can do.

01:26Things like strategy, setting the vision, culture, values, and then everything else, all the operational stuff,

01:33you should be able to delegate.

01:35And AI is going to allow you to do that because it's going to take over all those routine tasks

01:41that you currently spend a lot of your time on.

01:43So, as a CEO, if you want to survive and thrive, you need to make sure that you focus on the things that only you can do.

01:51The third way that AI is going to help you as a CEO is by making you more productive.

01:56Think about all the things that you could do if you had an extra 20 or 30 hours in your week.

02:01You could read more.

02:03You could think more strategically.

02:05You could spend more time with your family.

02:07So, the real CEOs, the CEOs that are going to make it, they will embrace AI.

02:13They will see it as a tool to help them be more productive, to give themselves more time back,

02:18to focus on the things that really matter.

02:20So, if you're a CEO and you're struggling with AI, you're afraid of it,

02:25I want you to know that you don't need to be afraid.

02:27As a CEO, you should embrace AI because it's going to give you superpowers.

02:32It's going to allow you to focus on higher value activities and it's going to make you more productive.
