00:00I want to read an excerpt really for the benefit of our audience from Vision 2030.
00:05It goes as follows.
00:07This ambitious roadmap leverages the kingdom's unique strengths,
00:12its pivotal role in the Arab and Islamic worlds,
00:15its strong investment capabilities and its strategic geographical position.
00:19Vision 2030 is a blueprint that is diversifying the economy, empowering citizens,
00:24creating a vibrant environment for both local and international investors
00:28and establishing Saudi Arabia as a global leader.
00:31Vision 2030 is transforming the socioeconomic landscape of the country.
00:35It is improving the quality of life for our citizens and residents.
00:39Saudi Arabia is forging a future where tradition, innovation and sustainability go hand in hand,
00:44providing endless opportunities for citizens to realize their potential
00:48and ushering in a new era of development and prosperity for the kingdom.
00:53You know very well that the vision has three key pillars.
00:59One of them is entitled A Vibrant Society.
01:02I'd like to ask you, how does Vision 2030 balance these various goals?
01:08You know, it's got Saudi heritage and values on the one hand,
01:11traditional, quite conservative, and a push for modernization on the other side.
01:17How do you reconcile the two?
01:18It's a fantastic question and it's a important question.
01:22And that's a process that's actually continuous.
01:24It's still till now.
01:26For me, what I would say is that I think striking this balance
01:30and I think the negotiation between managing the traditions
01:35and I think the aspect of modernity or the social reform
01:42is not something that just started within 2030.
01:47I think this was a discussion that was really taking place even before.
01:51You know, it's very fascinating how, you know, young the Saudi state is
01:58and how big the gaps are between the generations.
02:02You know, it really leapfrog a lot of these things.
02:06So, I mean, you know, in my parents' generation,
02:09there were probably barely cars around.
02:11And then all of a sudden, here I am in our generation,
02:16you know, being a kid in the 90s and 2000s,
02:20there were worlds apart.
02:23They were literally worlds apart.
02:24And then you have this generation, Generation Z.
02:26The one that
02:27And then you've made it.
02:28It was amazing.
02:28That's a design.
02:29The one that you surveyed is how much of the Prince gets
02:30is, we have a challenge and there.
02:31And look at this example.
02:32So we're actually able to consider a change.
02:33This experience is, you know,
02:34theseلم 하는ococytes,
02:34you know,
02:36and your clients try to help them tiếng the same way of love.
02:36And it's very easy.
02:37You know,
02:38that's a big time,
02:38like,
02:39you know,
02:40you know when you're gelecek.
02:41You know what about the 2017?
02:42The three games that I put a ball on,
02:44Right.
02:45So,
02:45this is a game that existe.
02:47That's a game that starts with
02:48you know.
02:49You know,
02:50this is something that you can hear.
