McDonald’s announced Tuesday it is expanding its value offerings by reintroducing Extra Value Meals, last promoted before the Covid-19 pandemic, according to CNBC. Customers will save 15% on the eight combo options, which include breakfast sandwiches, burgers, nuggets, and McCrispy sandwiches. CEO Chris Kempczinski said the deals aim to reach customers not already using its app or value menu. On McDonald’s August earnings call, Kempczinski stressed that reengaging low-income consumers is crucial since they visit more often than middle- and high-income customers. U.S. President Joe Erlinger said the company is focused on value and affordability and praised franchisees and teams for making it possible.
