With the start of the new year we asked people if school uniforms are still important.
Transcript
00:00What do you think about school uniforms? Should we all wear them?
00:04Definitely, because they're an equaliser and it means that people can be on the same level.
00:10They don't have designer clothes. The children who aren't well off enough don't feel left out.
00:17And you don't have to worry about this. There's no decision fatigue, you know, just get up, get dressed.
00:24And there's no arguments in the morning what to wear. Perfect.
00:29What do you think about school uniforms in the cost of living crisis?
00:34I believe that there should be a school uniform, definitely.
00:38But I think as well that skirts for girls should go out of the window.
00:46It should be trousers for girls these days. More convenient, better for them.
00:54Do you think school uniforms are still important in the cost of living crisis?
00:59Yes, I do strongly believe in a school uniform.
01:03But I do think the schools need to look at how they, where they get the parents to buy their school uniforms from.
01:10When they start saying it's got to have a badge and it's got to be from the uniform shop.
01:15It's a lot cheaper for families to go to Asda and places like that.
01:20They just need the badge on the jacket and that's it.
01:24So, then let's get to the home too.
01:25Okay.
01:25There you are.
