During remarks on the Senate floor Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) spoke about the installation of banners featuring President Trump's portrait outside buildings in Washington, D.C.

00:18Frankly, does this sound like someone who's firing on all cylinders?

00:23I think we know the answer to that.

00:26Everyone listening today knows the answer to that deep down in their hearts, including

00:32my colleagues on the other side of the aisle.

00:34Even if they won't dare say it aloud, they're afraid of him.

00:38They know he threatens them and brandishes everything over them.

00:46Egos are often part of the territory in politics, but I have never seen a bully in the Oval

00:51Office with such a nakedly fragile ego.

00:55Earlier today, I got to see that ego in all its ugly glory while I was driving to the

01:01Capitol.

01:03Driving past the Department of Labor, I got to see, as many others have, the massive banners

01:08that have Donald Trump's face airbrushed on them.

01:12A number of these banners are going up all across Washington.

01:15For generations, Americans have looked at these kinds of images and laughed at them, snickered

01:20at them because they're such obvious signs of deep insecurity.

01:25Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Putin, Kim Jong-un, and other bullies throughout history have depended

01:31on these images because they were desperate to seem powerful and important and untouchable.

01:36Yet, here we are, America 2025, and we have an insecure bully in the Oval Office who orders

01:45his sycophantic cabinet secrecy to grovel to him at cabinet meetings.

01:49Have you ever watched one of these meetings?

01:51It's embarrassing.

01:52Who can suck up more to Donald Trump as he beams, even though what they're saying has

01:59very little truth?

02:02And how about an adorning the face of buildings in our city with his picture?

02:10It's laughable that Donald Trump says he wants to make Washington more beautiful, and yet,

02:15at the same time, plasters his face all over our buildings.

02:18These beautiful buildings that have been built for so long and stood for so much to so many.
