00:08In 2024, 70.9% of people in the EU used internet-connected devices.

00:15The highest share of users was recorded in the Netherlands,

00:19followed by Ireland and Denmark, according to Eurostat.

00:22By contrast, the lowest shares were in Poland, Bulgaria and Romania.

00:26Internet-connected TVs were by far the most used internet-of-things devices in 2024,

00:33as reported by 57.9% of individuals.

00:37This was followed by smart wearables such as smartwatches and fitness trackers.

00:41One-fifth of people reported using game consoles and internet-connected home audio systems.
