00:00The year 1999, we were invited to shoot a program of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in England.
00:10At that time, a serial of ours was going on on Durdashan Guwahati called Gitti Malika.
00:16And this program in England was organized by Assam Medical College, Dr. Zagumnai,
00:22and Dr. Nipen Barkatuki, he was the chief organizer.
00:25He invited us and said that since you are doing a program,
00:28song-based program for Guwahati Durdashan,
00:30will you be able to show our program?
00:32We were very happy.
00:33So we went there and shot with Dr. Hazarika,
00:36and we showed that program in Durdashan.
00:39But along with that, we had met Dr. Hazarika very closely,
00:44whom we refer to, everybody refers to him as Bhupenda.
00:48And we got very good, had a very good interaction with him.
00:54And my husband, Chinmoy, with his Hyatt camera, he captured all those moments, personal moments,
01:02how he, you know, in his childhood, who influenced him,
01:07and his time in New York when he went for higher studies, his marriage,
01:12and very little, and also important that he recited some poems,
01:20which I believe some of them had not yet been published.
01:23So with this, we wanted to have a documentary on him,
01:27since it is a centenary celebration.
01:29And out of that whole tapes which we have digitized,
01:32we made a one-hour documentary on him,
01:34which we are going to have a premiere show on 7th of September,
01:38in our Anuradha Cineplex.
01:40And for general public also, we thought since it is his birthday,
01:43and on 8th September, in his birthday week,
01:47we thought we would have a night show,
01:49so that general public can also watch his documentary.
01:55And on 11th Street.
01:56.
