00:0072% of Americans don't feel like they're financially secure.
00:04The Federal Reserve has implemented 11 interest rate hikes to combat inflation since March 2022.
00:10But more than a third of Americans said rising interest rates kept them from financial comfort.
00:15What's crazy about interest rates, though, is that the 1930s had it better.
00:19Because back then, their Fed dropped their interest rate to below 2%
00:22and they kept it there for the entire decade to stimulate the economy.
00:26But in 2023, because of said inflation and how expensive things have gotten,
00:31our Fed has increased interest rates.
00:33So even if you want to borrow money to buy those expensive things,
00:36you can't, which is making the situation that much worse.
