Transcript
00:00President Xi, President Rusu, first of all, I would like to thank Mr. President
00:29and our Chinese friends for their hospitality, for organizing our trilateral summit. We have
00:38not met in a forum like this for a long time, and this summit is carried out at the initiative
00:44of the Chinese side, and I would like to emphasize that Russia is eager to develop trilateral,
00:51mutually beneficial, multidimensional relations with the People's Republic of China and with
00:57Mongolia. And we deem it important to mark that successful bilateral cooperation was complemented
01:07and received new dimensions by this trilateral forum, which is only natural because our three
01:16countries share a lot of common things. We share the interest in developing political, economic,
01:24and humanitarian ties between our countries, and most importantly, Russia, China, and Mongolia
01:31are good neighbors, and our peoples are united by longstanding traditions of friendship and
01:38mutual support. I'm certain that our today's conversation is going to be open and substantive
01:49as usual, and we are going to discuss the main areas of our trilateral cooperation, and we will
01:56discuss plans for the short term and midterm. Thank you. Your Excellency, President Xi, my dear friend,
02:05both myself and the entire Russian delegation, we are glad to have this chance to meet again our Chinese
02:13friends, our Chinese counterparts. We are grateful for the warm welcome extended to our delegation. Our
02:22close communication reflects the strategic nature of the Russian-Chinese cooperation that is at the
02:31unprecedentedly high level, which was demonstrated during your official visit to Russia in May, and our
02:40joint participation in the festive events to commemorate the victory in Great Patriotic War. And tomorrow in
02:49Beijing there are going to be festive events to celebrate the victory over Japan in the end of World War II, and we are going to attend
02:59these events together.
