00:00Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson walked the red carpet in Venice on Monday for the premiere of his latest film, The Smashing Machine.

00:09It's in competition for the Venice Film Festival's top prize, The Golden Lion.

00:15A biopic of mixed martial arts fighter Mark Kerr, it's director Benny Safdie's first feature as a solo filmmaker.

00:23Emily Blunt, who joined Johnson on the red carpet, co-stars as Kerr's wife Dawn.

00:30The two actors previously shared the screen in Jungle Cruise in 2021.

00:38In the movie, Johnson transforms into Kerr, wearing facial prosthetics and a wig.

00:44The 82nd Venice International Film Festival runs until the 6th of September.
