00:00Resources Corporation, NPRC.
00:04As we convene here, remarkably, at the 21st edition of OGA,
00:11the reality before us is clear.
00:13Our industry must deliver a secured and reliable energy today
00:18while also preparing for a more sustainable, diversified and low-carbon future.
00:25This dual responsibility is where Malaysia's OGSC companies
00:29play an outsized role.
00:32They are the service backbone, they are the problem solvers,
00:35and they are the bridge between ambition and delivery.
00:40Malaysia's OGSC ecosystem is built upon decades of deep water expertise,
00:46world-class engineering, and strong local content.
00:49Our companies have designed and delivered offshore platforms in Brazil.
00:55They have supported LNG terminals in the Middle East,
00:57and they have made their mark across ASEAN.
01:01This track record makes Malaysia's a credible partner on the world stage.
01:07The task now is to turn these assets into future advantage.
01:13And for that, my humble ask, today is threefold.
01:18To OGSC companies, be bold in diversifying and innovating.
01:23Do not stop just at serving today's project.
01:27Prepare to capture tomorrow's markets in low-carbon technologies,
01:31digital solutions, and sustainable services.
01:35In this regard, NPRC is guiding companies into areas such as CCUS,
01:40carbon capture, utilization, and storage,
01:41and hybrid hydro-faulting solar,
01:43which are part of the National Energy Transition Roadmap's flagship projects.
01:50Malaysia's foray into these segments will depend heavily on the engineering
01:54and service expertise within our OGSC base.
01:58My second request is to investors and international partners.
02:03Leverage Malaysia's position as a gateway to ASEAN.
02:07Our firms bring proven technological expertise,
02:11cost competitiveness, and a willingness to collaborate.
02:14Engage with them at this show.
02:17Sign MOU, if you will.
02:19Explore joint ventures and identify projects
02:22where Malaysian capability can multiply your success.
02:26On a later note, NPRC also leads the Strategic Partnership Support Program
02:32under the OGSC blueprint,
02:35where we aim to catalyze cooperation, collaboration,
02:39and even consolidation among OGSC companies
02:42to strengthen their competitiveness in and outside Malaysia,
02:48both in the traditional oil and gas and energy businesses,
02:51as well as opportunities beyond OGSC.
02:55Finally, to my fellow policymakers and DOJSC companies,
03:00let us continue working together to align procurement, financing,
03:06and incentives to reward innovation, sustainability, and local capability.
03:11When government, industry, and financiers move in the same direction,
03:16transitions accelerate,
03:17and the returns are more rewarding for everyone.
03:21Colleagues, if and when we succeed,
03:25the OGSC industry will not just support Malaysia's energy future,
03:30it will shape it.
03:32We would create resilient companies,
03:35future-ready talent,
03:36and a vibrant ecosystem that keeps Malaysia's comparative,
03:39connected,
03:41and continuously respected in the global energy community.
03:46NPRC stands ready to play our part
03:49as a catalyst,
03:50as a convener,
03:51and as a trusted partner to industry,
03:53especially in bridging the government and private sector.
03:56Let us make these three days
03:59a moment where we reaffirm a malicious role
04:01as a trusted hub for energy solutions.
04:05Together, powering progress and shaping tomorrow.
04:08it is hard to do tomorrow.
