Chinese President Xi Jinping met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing on Tuesday for high-level talks on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing global issues, including the Ukraine conflict and Putin’s recent summit with Donald Trump in Alaska. Putin arrived in China after attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin. He is set to join Xi and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at a major military parade on Wednesday. Xi, Putin, and Mongolia’s President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh also held a trilateral meeting.
