00:05At 15, Jennifer Hunt has already made history as Australia's youngest female pilot.
00:11Now, she's hoping to break another record.
00:14I'm about to fly solo around Australia with my co-pup Bella.
00:18The idea was born in the back of her parents' car.
00:21We were just driving home one night and I was like, hey, why don't I fly around Australia?
00:26Too young to drive a car, flying is her only option.
00:31I feel very confident with her flying and I'd much rather fly than drive.
00:36Next year she wants to drive around Australia and that's a worry.
00:41While she's a novice pilot, her parents have been in the business for decades.
00:46Never flown solo before, until February this year.
00:50But I've been around aviation my whole life, so I know it rains a little bit.
00:55Jennifer's had excellent instructors the whole way through.
01:00She's been very well trained.
01:02Jennifer and Bella will set off from Darwin heading west.
01:06They'll cruise along the coastline of this vast continent with stops in every state
01:11before completing the loop in one month.
01:14It's going to be challenging for some different reasons.
01:17The time you're going to spend in the aircraft on your own, sometimes the boredom,
01:20the weather, particularly in a small plane like this, the bumps, negotiating all sorts of different
01:25unfamiliar aerodromes and high winds.
01:28But she's not worried about flying solo because her very capable co-pilot will keep her company.
01:35With her pawsome co-pilot prepped, Jennifer's ready to set off this week and hopefully break a record.
