Anthony takes you through all of the latest innovations Samsung Display showcased at Computex 2025. From the highly anticipated UT One OLED panel that's 30% lighter and thinner, to 500Hz QD-OLED prototypes, these displays are looking like the future. Speaking of the future, in this video you'll also see foldable and rollable devices concepts across phones and tablets and even a bedside smart display.

00:00We just got a glimpse of the future with Samsung's display technology. Here's
00:03everything you need to know. So let's start right here. This is a concept of an
00:10AI-powered smart display that can go from flat to folded to show you all the
00:16info you need to know to start your day. From your heart rate to the weather, you
00:19have everything you need right here. So you can have just the essentials on the
00:24bottom of the screen or if you need the full display, it'll unfold to give you
00:29more information. And then right behind me, you can see these circular OLED displays
00:34and this tech has already made its way into the Mini Cooper right in the car's
00:38dashboard. Here we're seeing a whole different use case for it. While we
00:42typically think of OLED displays as rectangular, here they're circular to
00:46showcase all their versatility. So this is the next big thing for Samsung's OLED
00:50displays, UT1. It starts with very incredibly thin displays. The other big
00:58point is they go down as low as one Hertz for lower power consumption. And you can
01:03see it right here. This is a conventional display, a rigid OLED display, and this is
01:07the new UT1 panel. In addition to being thin, this new UT1 display is super
01:14lightweight. And side by side with the conventional display, almost 300 grams
01:21versus less than 100. So this allows you to fit in more components like bigger
01:26batteries and extra memory with almost the same amount of weight.
01:34So with an LCD display, you can see all of these layers. With a conventional OLED is
01:41less and with lead, it's only three. And that's what allows for that lightweight and
01:46thin display. So that alone is a huge upgrade and we're gonna see even thinner and
01:49lighter laptops. So here's what this unlocks. We've seen foldable phones, we're
01:56gonna start seeing more tri-fold devices, and they're gonna come in new form
02:00factors. Wow. So with something like this, you have the same size tablet, but when you
02:10open it up, you have even more workspace. With this new tech, you can go from
02:15something like this that fits in your pocket to a much larger display almost
02:20instantly. This also allows for your flexible displays that can adapt and
02:25change size based on the content you're currently viewing. Check out how incredibly
02:29thin this is. Wouldn't you want something like that in your house? Another thing
02:33Samsung's working on for professionals is color accuracy across devices. That way a
02:38designer can pick one color, like this Pantone here, and know that it's gonna be
02:44the exact same on a smartphone, a laptop, or even a monitor. And the benefit here is
02:48what you design on your small screen or even your larger one, the color is gonna
02:53be the exact same as you work your way all the way down to production. Yeah, those
02:59shoes are cool. So that was an exciting glimpse of the future display technology
03:02from Samsung, but what do you think? What would you like to see it end up in next? Let us
03:06know in the comments below. I'm Anthony Spadafora and I'll catch you in the next one.
