00:00My name is Anna Roswandović. I'm the founder and CEO of The StoryMob and The StoryMob is a

00:12communications consultancy focusing on gaming culture and sports. For me it's about impact

00:18it makes on women and girls around the world who see 30 women of influence featured in a

00:23magazine on a cover and they're all doing really cool stuff. They're CEOs, they're executives,

00:28they're founders, they're going places, they're launching products, they're making money,

00:32well network, they do amazing things and I want them to look at that and feel like hey

00:37this is something I also can do and also something I want to do and aspire to that

00:42and I don't want any girl, no girl, I want no girl in this world to ever feel like she

00:46cannot accomplish something because she's a girl. I very recently realized that it's

00:51completely possible to judge yourself only by actions, not by how you feel, not how

00:56others feel about you, just by how you show up every day. That was very important

01:00because that helped me realize that no matter how I think I feel or no matter

01:04what I think the situation is the only thing that matters is how I get up in the

01:08morning and show up for myself and for my team. One mindset I had to let go of was

01:14thinking that somebody has to come in and give me the permission to be who I

01:18needed to be and do what I needed to do. Nobody's gonna come in and say here you go,

01:22now you have the permission to act. Sometimes act before you're ready, maybe

01:27you will never feel ready but you have to go and do the thing. So for me it's

01:32always been about representation, opportunity and endorsement. When women

01:36see other women lead, it expands their vision of what's possible and when

01:40opportunity endorsement are followed then we perpetuating a cycle of possible

01:45career pathways and possible ways for women to get more involved in the

01:48leadership role and be more represented. Try to surround yourself with people who

01:53inspire you. Try to surround yourself with people who have achieved what you

01:57want to achieve. If you want to be in a leadership position at the top national

02:02company, try to find your ways there. If you can, find yourself mentors and if you

02:06can, develop really good relationships with senior people around you. If you want to be

02:10an A player, you have to surround yourself with A players.
