00:04Welcome to China for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Tianjin Summit.

00:09Last year, you and I had a successful meeting in Kazan,

00:12and the China-India relationship had resumed and started anew.

00:16The two sides have implicitly implemented the important consensus we have agreed,

00:20and the bilateral exchanges and cooperation have since made new progress.

00:24The world today is swept by once-in-a-century transformations.

00:33The international situation is both fluid and chaotic.

00:37China and India are two ancient civilizations in the East.

00:41We are the world's two most populous countries,

00:43and we are also important members of the global South.

00:47We both shoulder the historical responsibility of improving the well-being of our two peoples,

00:51promoting the solidarity and rejuvenation of developing countries,

00:56and promoting the progress of human society.

00:59It is the right choice for both sides to be friends,

01:02who have good neighborly and amicable ties,

01:05partners who enable each other's success,

01:07and to have the dragon and the elephant dance together.

01:09This year marks the 75th anniversary of China-India diplomatic ties.

01:25Both sides need to approach and handle our relationship

01:27from a strategic height and long-term perspective,

01:30so as to realize the sustained, sound, and steady development of our bilateral ties.

01:35We must also step up to our historic responsibility to uphold multilateralism,

01:41work together to bring about a multipolar world

01:43and more democracy and international relations,

01:46and to make our true contributions to peace and prosperity in Asia and around the world.
