00:00So maybe you can help me understand this because this was kind of common knowledge when I was
00:04younger, but it seems to have completely fallen by the wayside.
00:08So the average salary for a young man in the United States, sort of 25 to 44, about $40,000,
00:17which is, you know, a lot of people get married in their 20s and so on.
00:20And if you are an average looking woman, you will get a man who is an average earner in general.
00:27So if you are a woman and you want a wealthy young man, which is kind of hard, most men
00:33hit their earning peak sort of 45 to 55 years of age.
00:36But if you want a wealthy man in his 20s, then you're looking for the top two or three or
00:41four or maybe 5% of young men.
00:45And that means as a woman, you have to be in the top two or three or four or 5% of attractiveness.
00:52We men work for female beauty because female beauty means good genes.
00:57It means good kids who are going to succeed and probably be smarter since looks are somewhat
01:01correlated with IQ.
01:03So we look for attractive women.
01:06Men are visual creatures for very obvious evolutionary reasons.
01:10So there seems to have been like this absolutely wild disconnect that's gone on in the modern
01:14world.
01:15And I, you know, I'm an old fogey, so maybe you can help me understand this.
01:18What is the story with average women wanting top 2% men?
01:25Not just for sex, you know, because women can subsidize and go up two or three points in
01:30the attractiveness scale just by offering sex, but they can't get commitment.
01:34It's like drugs to happiness.
01:36You get it, but it costs you later.
01:39So what has been going on in the time that I've been off social media, really?
01:43What has been going on where average women want top 5% men and you can't really seem to
01:50convince them otherwise?
01:52And of course, the number one consideration for most women is money for a man, a man's
01:56income.
01:57The number one consideration for men is attractiveness, which is mostly weight.
02:01Almost everyone of a healthy weight can be attractive.
02:05And the least attractive thing for men is obesity because it correlates with a bunch of
02:09negative criteria that men are looking for, not just sex or anything like that, but other
02:14things.
02:15So perhaps if someone, I'd really appreciate it, like just be kind to an old fogey, step
02:19me through this thing where average women want the top 5% of men can't be convinced otherwise
02:27and aren't willing to do the work to ask what those top 5% of men are actually looking for
02:32and provided, notably being a healthy weight and being fit and pleasant to be around and
02:39so on.
02:40We're not looking for overweight girl bosses.
02:43So just, again, step me through it.
02:45I appreciate your patience.
02:46What on earth is going on that this level of feral narcissistic vanity has overtaken young
02:52ladies to the point where they think that the average somehow deserves the best?
02:56If you want the top 5% of high-earning men, you've got to be in the top 5% of attractiveness
03:01for women.
03:02I mean, how has this basic wisdom been lost?
03:05Help, help, help.
