Gorillas – The Gentle Giants of the Forest

Gorillas (Gorilla spp.) are the largest living primates, native to the forests of central and western Africa. Despite their powerful build, they are gentle herbivores, feeding mainly on leaves, stems, and fruits. Gorillas live in social groups led by a dominant male called a silverback. Known for their intelligence and close genetic link to humans, gorillas are endangered due to habitat loss and poaching.
