00:13refusing a let a blonde Catalan off the metro.
00:28It's been seen more than 2 million times on X.
00:31However, everything about the claim is wrong.
00:34For starters, the video doesn't take place in Barcelona, but in Paris.
00:38You can fairly clearly see a sign for Léal at various points in the video,
00:43which is a metro stop in central Paris.
00:45The video also appears to be a skit
00:47as part of a regular series of satirical videos published online.
00:51A reverse image search of stills from the video
00:53takes us to an account on Instagram and TikTok
00:56under the name Mr Salim.
00:58And we can see that the video in question was uploaded in October 2024.
01:02He routinely posts videos of similar pranks,
01:05which often amass hundreds of thousands of views,
01:07in which he's pushed out of trains and other metro-based skits.
01:11They mostly appear to take place in Paris,
01:13but also in other French cities, such as Lyon.

02:20contribuyen a 66.000 muertes prematuras,
02:2350.000 nuevos casos de enfermedades cardíacas
02:26y 22.000 casos de diabetes de tipo 2.
02:29Los niños son especialmente vulnerables.
02:32La contaminación acústica puede afectar
02:34a la comprensión lectora, el comportamiento
02:35e incluso provocar obesidad.
02:52Fact-checking Trump's claim
02:54about why Russia failed to capture Kyiv.
03:00Donald Trump has claimed to know
03:02why Russian troops failed to capture Kyiv
03:05during the first days of their invasion of Ukraine
03:08in February 2022.
03:10They would have been in Kyiv in four hours
03:14going down the highway
03:16but a Russian general made a brilliant decision
03:19to go through the farmland instead.
03:21We fact-checked Trump's claims
03:22by analysing expert accounts
03:25of what really happened
03:26during the first days of Russia's invasion
03:28in February 2022.
03:30We found that Russia's attempts
03:32to seize Kyiv were thwarted by a combination
03:34of Ukraine's military strategy
03:36and logistical and tactical errors
03:39on the Russian side.
03:41The mud in the valley of the Irpin River
03:43west of Kyiv did obstruct the movement of tanks
03:46but alone would not have obstructed
03:49the Russian offensive.
03:50According to the Institute for the Study of War,
03:52determined and well-organized
03:54the Ukrainian resistance around Kyiv
03:56played an important role
03:58in preventing the Russian military
04:00from advancing with speed and success.
04:03Meanwhile, Russian forces did use highways
04:06to reach the Ukrainian capital.
04:08According to an analysis by experts
04:10at the Modern War Institute,
04:12Russia's forces coming from the border with Belarus
04:14covered 150 kilometers of open road
04:18to reach Kyiv's outskirts
04:20during the first phase of the Battle of Kyiv
04:22in late February.
04:24The experts add that Russians used old maps
04:27with Ukrainians also removing or painting
04:30over as many road signs as they could
04:32to deviate the Russian offensive.
04:34Russia's failure to capture Kyiv
04:36was also largely due to what happened in the air,
04:39particularly as Russia failed to gain control
04:41of the Hostomel airport 10 kilometers north of Kyiv.
04:44These expert analyses clearly contradict
04:47Trump's account of events.
