01:11You know, I often say that the US Open is my second Grand Slam after Roland Garros, you know, so I enjoy playing here every year.
01:22Of course, it's part of my DNA with college from back in the days.
01:28I was just simply not good enough to play pro at 18 years old.
01:33I also didn't want to at this time.
01:36You know, it wasn't my dream to be a tennis professional player at 18 years old.
01:44I love tennis, I love team matches more than single matches, but I just wanted to keep on playing and not really traveling every single week all over the world and, you know, put a lot of pressure on my family financially and everything.
02:02And then I was lucky enough to have a great coaching staff in Texas A&M.
02:08And after two or three years, I started to feel the motivation and this dream of becoming a tennis player professionally.
02:17And that's what happened.
02:19And now here I am.
02:22General question about a handshake in tennis.
02:27Is that a tradition you think is nice about this sport?
02:31We don't see that in every sport.
02:34Going up there, greeting each other, shaking your hand, do you think it's a bad idea?
02:40That's a tough question.
02:41I don't know what I'm supposed to say about this.
02:43It's just the rules in tennis forever just to shake the hand of your opponent at the end of the match.
02:48So, I don't know what I'm supposed to answer about this.
02:52Of course, it's just respect.
02:55So, it doesn't matter what happened during the match.
03:00At the end, the winner and the loser are going to shake hands.
03:04Sometimes it does matter what happens in the match in the sense that players will start an argument, complain about something during the match.
03:15Yeah, sure. But it's not my case today. So, I don't know. I don't really mind about this question.
03:22What did you dream of being at 18 then, if not a professional tennis player? And did you major in something?
03:27Yeah, I just wanted to keep on going and play tennis because it was my real passion.
03:33You know, I loved playing tennis and I wanted to keep on playing, but I didn't know if it was my future job or not.
03:42So, at least going to Texas A&M, I was able to keep on playing and studying, you know, and prepare for my future life.
03:50And then give myself some time to see what's going to happen after.
03:55What did you study? Business?
03:57Business, yeah.
03:57Okay.
