00:18He can. That meant that we had more injuries that hopefully it won't happen.

00:25But Josh has been with us when he's done and he had to compete.

00:28He's done really, really well.

00:30And everybody has to feel in the academy that if anything happens

00:33they have to be ready and that's a big fine.

00:40What was his quality to the defender?

00:43I think naturally when you look at his physicality

00:45and then the capacity has to win the ball back and don't get past

00:49especially when he's isolated 1v1.

00:52Very impressive.

00:53He needs to stay fit as well this season.

00:55It's a very important season for him I think.

00:57And let's see how he does.

00:59And with Gabriel Martinelli, obviously lots of you made of him this summer

01:03in previous seasons as well.

01:04He had that breakout season a few seasons ago.

01:06In terms of his end product, do you wish more in terms of end product?

01:10Or what's your general assessment?

01:12We always want more and every time that they are there they pick the right pass

01:16and they finalise the action with goals.

01:20But the efficiency in the finals there is a really low outcome

01:24and we need to acknowledge that.

01:26Especially when there is a lot of density in and around the box.

01:28But every player, including Gabi, is trying to increase that efficiency.

01:33Yes.

01:34I think he will go there and he's played there many times and I think he's the type of player

01:55that loves those scenarios and those moments.

01:59And do you think that he's ready to sort of play a leading role in the team?

02:04Which do you think it's going to take him a bit of time to settle into your patterns?

02:07I think the moment he starts to play we will see and how the team will react

02:13and what connections will flourish from his interventions.

02:17I'm very confident as well.

02:19He's played in the league so many years, you know, the league in and out.

02:23And he's just adapting or we're adapting to his qualities

02:27and making sure that we put him in the right positions as often as possible.

02:36Have you had to explain that decision to him at all?

02:39Is he understanding?

02:41Yeah, I always have conversations with players what to expect,

02:44the reasons why they play or don't play.

02:48And sometimes it's because there's another player doing really well,

02:50but he's been in contention in both games.

02:53I think he's very, very consistent in the way he's been.

02:56And when you don't play, you have to fight to win that place.
