00:00Take a moment of personal privilege to remember 25 years ago, tomorrow, when we were all awakened
00:09to the idea of a storm called Katrina that took 18,000 lives across Louisiana and Mississippi,
00:18$125 billion in damage. It was a Cat 3 hurricane. We were shocked to see the images both before
00:28and after, 125-mile-an-hour wind, a 28-foot surge, storm surge that went three miles in.
00:38The Waveland Fire Department had their firetrucks parked, Governor, three miles from our coastline,
00:45and they went underwater after that surge made its way across the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast.
00:53So God bless all those that survived, they loved, and the lost will forever be remembered.
00:59Katrina, Chief Kidd, thank you again.
