00:00Got to make some decisions here, and it looks like the decision was made, it feels like, by Rasheed Rice accepting this suspension that he did for the first six games of the season.
00:11It was less than two weeks ago where we had heard that he was going to potentially appeal and wait, but something tells me that had he lost that, it would have been a lot more than six games, which is why he's accepting the six-game suspension now.
00:26Does that sound right?
00:26Yeah, I think there's a lot of truth to that.
00:30I wonder if the backlash against Chiefs' favoritism that was going around there, which always goes around when anything positive happens to the Chiefs, I don't know if that had any effect on this either, probably not, but the bottom line is I think they looked at it, looked at the situation, maybe felt this was inevitable, and like you said, maybe even could have been worse.
00:51So just sort of taking the punishment right up front and, you know, give him more time to recover, too, and get healthy and get ready for the season.
00:58So it probably made more sense to do it this way, too.
01:01Obviously, the Chiefs have a bit of a front-loaded schedule.
01:04I mean, they have a loaded schedule in general.
01:05They're always playing big games, whether it's against another really good team or just it's on national TV one way or another because they're the Chiefs.
01:13So, you know, that was going to be a factor no matter what.
01:17So I think going into this this way, it lets them know what they're dealing with right off the bat, and they can adjust going from there.
