00:00You're three and then it's us two.
00:02It got personal.
00:03In today's game, you're not playing for yourself,
00:05you're playing for the person your oar is named after.
00:09Judy!
00:10Do you think you can get that oar?
00:12What are you doing?
00:13The oar's there!
00:16Whoops.
00:17I had to push it over.
00:19Promises were made.
00:21If I win it for you, you should have given me.
00:23You'll get it.
00:25A rubbish clue.
00:27But promptly broken.
00:29Can't say anything.
00:35Oh, Joshy.
00:37He's put something really glaringly obvious and I'm missing it.
00:40Do you believe that?
00:41No.
00:42And it was game over for one more contender.
00:45The player who put their ex furthest away from where we are now is...
00:50Claire.
00:54Oh, my God!
00:55Lini Terapeza!
00:57Now just four remain.
01:07After saying ciao to Claire in Pisa last night, the X-Bus is now motoring on to its penultimate Destination X.
01:14The four remaining players are just one stop away from the final and their chance to win 100,000 pounds.
01:28But as battle lines get drawn, tensions on the bus are still simmering for some.
01:34I've got to say, with the clue, I dropped humongous clangor.
01:40Yeah.
01:41But I was thinking you're going to get nothing out of it.
01:46It's going to be wasted.
01:47Really?
01:48I had a big reality check and now realise that I'm a 58-year-old bloke that's in the last four.
02:03Got to get me in up round things and got to get real.
02:04I promise you, you know I won't go back on The Gentleman's.
02:05That's why I was upset.
02:06Yeah.
02:07Because I thought, no matter what, I didn't go back on The Gentleman's.
02:08I know you see how it looks like that from my point of view.
02:09Josh thinks that I've double-crossed him.
02:10I hope I haven't made myself a target.
02:11But I'd rather go home.
02:12I'm a 58-year-old bloke that's in the last four.
02:13Got to get me in up round things and got to get real.
02:16I promise you, you know I won't go back on The Gentleman's.
02:20That's why I was upset.
02:21Yeah.
02:22Because I thought, no matter what, I didn't go back on The Gentleman's.
02:26I know you see how it looks like that from my point of view.
02:31Josh thinks that I've double-crossed him.
02:34I hope I haven't made myself a target.
02:38I'd rather go home knowing that my morals are all intact.
02:42I tried hard to win that for you as well.
02:44I was like, mate, I understand it.
02:47Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:49But I promise you it won't.
02:51At Lee Lake, we had a gentleman's agreement that he would share the clue with me no matter what.
02:56And then it turns out he didn't share it with me.
02:59I pretty much lost my trust in him completely now.
03:03I should have done my nails yesterday.
03:14Ugh, God, I need to do mine.
03:16It's just a joke.
03:18I know that, um, you know, we haven't been the best of friends in this experience, but we're the last two girls, so if you ever want a girly chat, then.
03:27Yeah.
03:28Come on down.
03:29Yeah.
03:30No, honestly, I feel like even saying that we haven't been the best of friends, I've come to peace with it.
03:39My eyes are now open to how everyone is playing the game.
03:44Josh and Saskia are such strong players, but my head right now is saying I can win.
03:49I just need to start being a bit more strategic.
03:54If you're thinking logically and strategically, Josh, he's been a lot of places.
04:01I can get to the final by making people doubt their alliances.
04:09Even just sowing those seeds will help my game play.
04:13I'm very aware of you against him in a challenge.
04:17He's gonna be a big one for you.
04:20Yeah.
04:22Judith can see how much I want this, and she just wanted to give me the heads up.
04:28Essentially, if I do want to win, I need to give myself as much advantage as possible.
04:33I know how good Josh is as a player, and do I really want to be up against that?
04:38Can I take Josh out?
04:40I don't know.
04:41I really don't know.
04:43Oh, man.
04:45The X-Bus is traversing a region which enjoys around 300 days of sunshine a year.
05:01You can play along, too, by following the link.
05:04What are you about to do?
05:15Let me think.
05:16I thought you were about to open that fridge.
05:18Remember, Darren?
05:19Open the fridge.
05:20If you want something from the fridge, you ask somebody else.
05:23Open it.
05:24Open it.
05:25Open it.
05:26Open it.
05:27Come on.
05:28No, Darren!
05:29Did it.
05:34It's getting difficult, isn't it?
05:37It's been difficult from this time.
05:40Really, all I've done, it just survived.
05:44Yes!
05:45Now, it's like even the smallest of errors.
05:50In costume.
05:53With the four of us, Josh needs to go next.
05:58He's strong in challenges, and he has a strong relationship with Saskia.
06:03And I think he's been very tactical in creating that relationship.
06:08But I need my own alliance.
06:10I've just got a funny feeling that we're going to go through.
06:14One of them is going to go out.
06:16I need it to be that way.
06:18Yeah, me too.
06:20Josh and Sas have been together for a while now.
06:25Hopefully, a little bit of success in the challenge with Judith.
06:29And then it'll be...
06:30Oh, shh, shh.
06:31Oh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh.
06:41Players, I'm back, and the pleasure is all mine.
06:45You're going to need complete focus for this next game, as things are getting serious.
06:50We've been on the X-plus for a long time.
06:52But as the final approaches, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
06:56So, split into two teams of two.
06:59We'll go as a two, then.
07:05Is that all that we use?
07:07Don't mind, really.
07:09You're saying that like you're having some second thoughts.
07:15Speak your mind.
07:16I didn't decide on the teams, but if you guys want to be together...
07:20Well, we also just assumed that you guys would want to be together, because of your alliance and that.
07:31No, not necessarily.
07:36I'm happy to do whatever you guys want to do.
07:43Players, please put on your team tops, get the X-goggles on, and depart the X-bus.
07:49At this stage, I would love to see Judith on her way home.
07:55That would be lovely.
07:57I feel like she's a very smart cookie and more of a threat than Dazza is.
08:02Oh, my God. I'm boiling.
08:18Wow.
08:24Oh, shit.
08:26Wow.
08:27What is this about?
08:29Oh, my God.
08:30Look at it, mate.
08:32It really was like the Indiana Jones set.
08:41It was amazing.
08:44We could have been in America, in the Wild West.
08:47I think it was a mine or cave.
08:50Something like that, yeah.
08:52I didn't really see too, too much, but if I had to take a wild stab in the dark,
08:56I'd probably go with somewhere in Spain, maybe Barcelona.
09:00It was all almost temple-like, with these great sort of carved-out caverns.
09:06Gosh, it is hot out here.
09:08It was boiling hot outside.
09:10I've never experienced anything like this before.
09:14Players, welcome to your first semi-final challenge,
09:18where you'll battle in teams of two for a chance to win a vital clue to Destination X.
09:24It's a pretty tense atmosphere, because both teams really want to win,
09:29and you're under loads of pressure.
09:32I know and I feel like I have to win this challenge.
09:36I need this advantage.
09:38Each team has three unique symbols cut into the rock next to you.
09:44Memorize them.
09:46They've each been paired with three different symbols hidden inside the mines.
09:52You must play a series of puzzles to reveal them.
09:56You must memorize the matching symbols, return here, and pair them up correctly.
10:01The first team to do that will win a clue to Destination X.
10:07How are you feeling, guys?
10:08Hmm.
10:09Not what I expected.
10:10My problem-solving skills will definitely be an advantage.
10:12In my day-to-day, I do that, and it's usually complex challenges.
10:13I feel pretty confident, actually.
10:14Being a pilot and all the training that comes along with it will give me the edge,
10:16remaining calm, collected, and have really good problem-solving skills.
10:19Hidden in the mines are other clues to Destination X.
10:21Good luck.
10:22Players, the challenge begins in three, two, one.
10:26Three.
10:27Three.
10:28Three, leave close.
10:33Me.
10:34Me?
10:35It's another.
10:36I'm really pretty proud of you.
10:37It's another one.
10:38It's a very good example.
10:39I've definitely felt a difference in the next one.
10:40To be a good one.
10:41You should be a final player.
10:42If you're in a good one, a good one, you should be a Eeveggie.
10:43It's a great experience to find a other, a good one.
10:44You should be a good one.
10:45You're in a good one.
10:47You're in a good one.
10:48I used to be a good one.
10:49You're in a good one.
10:50You're a good one.
10:51Yes.
10:52I'm a good one.
10:53mean yes circle across yeah again yeah good memory isn't my best point but i just really
11:06really really want to win that glue at the end let's have it all right let's go oh it's cold
11:13playing cards
11:23players in order to find a hidden symbol you must solve an equation
11:36simply calculate the correct combination of colored sandbags
11:41to weigh 19 pounds by using the wall chart in front of you
11:50all right so 45 45 equals 45. okay yeah there was loads of different bags and we had to place
11:57three bags on a podium in order to make 19 pounds it takes nine dollars 15 minutes of crap
12:05green is three three judith's so on the ball with numbers and riddles and things so i was just
12:11like gosh we're not going to get this quick enough can't just look at your son and you'll do it
12:16i design nuclear power stations and i spend a lot of my time doing calculations um you have to figure
12:23out what each color is first yeah i was actually bottom set maths throughout school but i feel like
12:29i've sort of managed to hone in my skills yeah i back myself three six nine two fifteen fifteen yeah
12:37okay so that's me right so i need to get to 19. blue six oh i've done it so i thought it was mine i did it
12:48wrong 15. this is bread and butter for judith she's a really eye-up engineer and easy equations like
12:56these i thought that she'd eat for breakfast but she had a little bit of trouble oh my god i'm over
13:01thinking this is five and then she said oh yeah uh them three uh they must be five because they had
13:10up to 45 i was right she said no judith i have to be 15. yeah it's 15. shit oh
13:18something times no two two yes yeah two okay so 15 16 18 got it yeah red blue blue yeah oh got it
13:34well done players one of the tokens in this drawer matches a symbol etched in the rock outside and
13:41hopefully etched in your memory find it flip it over and memorize got it that's it look for the
13:47book that's it that's it that's it when i found the pairing i was absolutely buzzing we can't take it
13:55we can go yeah yeah i got annoyed at myself when i realized that saski and josh had done it
14:03then i was just like ah i can't do it and then darren had to take over
14:06so you want to work that out so we know that's 15. so there are two times 15 is 30 and and that's
14:13one in it yeah but then one oh it's 31 i thought it was three yeah i think so come on when you're
14:20racing the other team and there's underground on it you know uh i think any anyone would find it
14:25difficult let's go your second missing symbol is hanging in plain sight but plunged in darkness
14:33illuminate the cave by turning the wheel okay you turn is it hard so the wheel we'd have to spin for a
14:47while oh sugar and then it would reveal some symbols on the other side
15:03okay go again it would only keep on a light for a certain amount of time right what are you saying
15:10wait hold on um okay right do it again green is two yeah yellow is 15
15:19two green one yellow yeah this one yeah so it's a start
15:26okay i misread that so much going into the second challenge we definitely knew we had to make up some
15:35time oh my god go go again
15:47yeah i think i've got it yeah now we've got a time advantage and i wanted to make sure that
15:57me and josh we both see the symbol and the associated symbol with it yeah that's good let's go
16:07got it got it go i've seen the symbol straight away so we made up loads of time
16:17players one final task untie the knots to retrieve the bag of symbols
16:35what the hell untying ropes okay i'm just gonna you've got this i kind of just left josh to that
16:40one you know he's very quick on the ball so i kind of just stood out of his way and
16:44let him get on with that yeah oh my god notice behind me darren and judy
16:57we're back in the game we can do this
17:04darren was great he noticed that you just had to pull out one of the ropes and that untangled
17:10everything maybe a little bit faster we was catching up all the time oh come on come on come on
17:18oh oh you got to untie it untie it untie it all right i hope now quick
17:24put the chips out dash them on the floor the adrenaline was just going through me
17:28i wasn't allowing any sort of distraction to get in the way
17:30come on come on come on let's go
17:48we were fighting for the win i am a very very competitive person gloves off right to the end
17:54so it's this one all right come on let's go as we headed out of the mines we managed to get there
18:03before the yellow team at this point with the other team being not that much ahead
18:10so that one's that you go go go if they got it wrong we still had a good chance of winning
18:15that one i had a really good idea of what the three symbols were that one's that that one
18:24no no this one
18:33they'd obviously put their symbols in and they had matched i'm over the moon that we won oh
18:40oh well done yeah we kind of smashed it well done guys well done mate good work yeah
18:52i had the right hump i just really wanted to win i needed to win
18:59do you think that you got any useful clues from that yeah like what well definitely the uh the mona
19:13lisa at the moment uh my biggest clue is uh the mona lisa it was posted on the wall it said come in
19:22soon on it you're obviously in some sort of sandstone mine it was a bit sort of catacombie
19:32may have something to do with the da vinci code who often they go to paris and there's some catacombs
19:37there and the one that you said the uh the kelly l do i know what that could mean to be honest
19:43a bit of a soak on that i think we're going towards france or probably in france already
19:49might dip into another country before we come up but i'm not sure look we've got more than we had
19:56for them when we come here yeah no i don't know
20:02i don't have love i'm shaking i hope this means something
20:07hmm cool what's interesting
20:14formula one car huh ferrari ferrari isn't ferrari italian yeah but i don't think we're still in
20:22italy no i agree oh there's a racing track the uh ricard one in france interesting what else did we
20:29see inside there was mona lisa that said she's got company playing cards yeah playing cards
20:35the first helmet said um kelly l grace and leon on the helmets saw some names
20:45i'm still trying to figure out what they really mean but i'm sure they have some sort of meaning
20:50maybe famous people and wash your hands with soap wash your hands with soap what does that mean
20:55there was like a red soap and it said something about ma said i think we just keep that yeah yeah
21:05honestly yeah they were going to tell us yeah judith and diane lost so judging by how the games
21:12plan it hasn't really worked out too well for them they should be pretty worried
21:15i'm just concerned about how confident they're both getting i'd even go as far as saying a bit
21:30patronizing yeah that's it it's going that way and i'm going to say it now nothing will please me more
21:38i'm just waving one of them out after from that room oh i'll say it
21:48as destination x draws closer so does the moment one player will be leaving the x bus
21:54how did you find that
22:10friends
22:14there is a bit of a mood change and i just felt like it was
22:19sort of rubbing our noses in it a little bit and i didn't like it was you guys's clue just a clue
22:30yeah it was clear i have helped darren quite a bit i can't really take his word anymore so
22:36i'm sure as hell won't be helping him it's part of the game isn't it really like a physical clip
22:42i can't suppose that you don't have to tell us i'm just like it was a clue
22:53yeah i'm uh fully engulfed in the game even dreaming about the game so
22:59you know naturally i'm going to try and protect myself self-defense
23:10josh and saskia as the winners of today's challenge it's only right that you receive a special treat
23:21please head to the vip room
23:24oh
23:26she's excited
23:31i'm actually excited i don't know what to expect
23:33what's in here oh my god what the hell
23:43thank you this is so weird cheers
23:48i can't believe this roommate with this yeah i've been there before actually so it's my first time
23:53me and saskia obviously we've been allies for a while now they make a good team but i know that
24:01she wants to win this just as bad as i do so it's going to be an interesting there's a couple of days
24:07i reckon fight to the end
24:12how you feeling good i think yeah yeah what about you yeah yeah i'm feeling good i'm feeling good
24:17we're getting close to the end now um i'm gonna have to have that conversation soon i think
24:28mm-hmm which i'm dreading yeah i'm dreading it oh god
24:36i don't know what to do the possibility of going against josh is difficult i think he'd understand
24:51but i don't know i just feel so guilty i haven't even done anything and i feel guilty
24:57what do you reckon
24:58no hard feelings though no hard feelings we're definitely getting closer much closer to the end
25:07and i feel like we've made a very good team so far hmm yeah i've been thinking about it quite a lot
25:14for once i have not much to say really yeah
25:20watching him today and seeing how great he was in the physical challenge
25:24i was like okay so my biggest alliance in this is about to become my biggest threat so i think
25:30i need to get ahead of the game and give myself the best chance possible before it's too late
25:37i mean let's get into the point now where hopefully it's going to be a straight fight
25:40one-on-one yeah that would be the ideal situation like a proper individual game yeah yeah and then
25:46may the best man or woman win at that point
25:48cheers cheers to getting this far and cheers to have an alliance on team
26:03we've barely had any foods we've ready to learn her picture see you soon
26:09one later yeah
26:10yeah yeah i'm just feeling like i might be going to once the museum
26:21yeah i'm sure when the division go there was like can i go
26:28yeah
26:32i'll have even forgotten it already it didn't make
26:35any sense because of the clues today i know mona lisa kelly l louvre in paris i sort of think
26:47there's a big french connection at the moment
26:50they've always got a chance i don't never think it's finished
27:05with only one challenge under their belts who does and who doesn't have enough information to guess
27:11where they are do you think you've seen enough to work it out follow the link to play along
27:18she's got company
27:24this is after all the semi-final so the players can expect a few bumps in the road ahead
27:31all right we're gonna name today armageddon
27:39armageddon is she think we've got it's gonna be armageddon for someone isn't it
27:43what is this oh
27:48shit oh oh no
27:53oh no
27:57god i need the toilet
27:58Players, I thought I'd come along in person to deliver some news.
28:21You are just one map room away from the final.
28:29Oh my God.
28:31And that map room is happening right now.
28:35What?
28:36Oh, mate.
28:38Where will be today's Destination X?
28:41That's for you to figure out.
28:43That's mad.
28:45A surprise map room absolutely thrown a spanner in the works.
28:53I'm not confident at all.
28:56Where I think it is, I don't know if it is or not.
29:00It's a bit of a crash band wallop.
29:03Players.
29:05Remember, you as individuals are playing for £100,000.
29:12It's what we all dream of, eh?
29:15My mind is scrambled and I'm never really confident in the map room.
29:20I really don't know where we are.
29:23Oh, there's literally a one in four chance of me leaving the bus.
29:27It's a lot of pressure.
29:29I would be so gutted if I was eliminated right now.
29:35Good luck.
29:42You can play along too by marking your own X on the map.
29:47You have two minutes.
29:49All right.
29:51I think we're in France.
29:55I was definitely hoping to get some more clues or at least speak to Judith a bit.
30:14One of the clues was the Mona Lisa.
30:19Yeah, I don't really know.
30:22Darren and I had a discussion yesterday and we were pretty set on it being Paris.
30:29But I am torn.
30:34It was really, really sunny.
30:37So I'm kind of then leaning towards the south of France.
30:41It could be a Monaco.
30:43I think based on the actual challenge itself and the ultimate clue of the F1 car,
30:49instantly I thought Monaco.
30:51OK.
30:52Judging by the Formula One clue, I'm going to Monaco.
31:01Although...
31:02Oh, no.
31:07Right.
31:08It's not very good if I can't find it.
31:11Oh, thank God.
31:13Monaco Grand Prix finish line confirmed.
31:16Obviously winning the challenge yesterday was very useful.
31:22The actual slots.
31:24Cards on the floor.
31:25F1 car.
31:30Should I just go for Marseille?
31:32No, I'm not kidding.
31:39Oh, dear.
31:41Come on, Lou.
31:42Let's jump out.
31:43You should imagine it's somewhere near the centre of Paris.
31:52Go there.
31:57With Darren opting for Paris, Josh and Saskia are in Monaco,
32:01and Judith near Marseille,
32:03there are nearly 700 kilometres separating the players' exes.
32:08How are you feeling?
32:09I just had to...
32:11Messy for me.
32:12I just had to...
32:15It's too different.
32:16Mm.
32:17My plan's not right.
32:28Aaron.
32:30Saskia.
32:33Judith.
32:34And Josh.
32:35We're your exes are all locked down.
32:44I have...
32:46some more news for you.
32:50One of you...
32:52will be leaving the X-Bus.
32:54Yes.
32:58But not yet.
33:01Oh, that's a tough...
33:02All...
33:03will be revealed...
33:05very shortly...
33:06in the next challenge.
33:08Where your ex...
33:09might not stay where you have placed it.
33:12It's all still to play for.
33:14The twists and turns are just like...
33:28well...
33:29I don't know where the next one's coming from.
33:31I feel...
33:46like I messed that up.
33:49I'm sure you haven't.
33:51Think I...
33:52It's a big old place.
33:54Yeah.
33:55Friends.
33:56Yeah, no.
33:57Did you go in Paris?
34:03Did you go in Paris?
34:05No.
34:07You didn't go in Paris?
34:14Where'd you go?
34:16I went...
34:17south...
34:18because it was hot.
34:20Why is this the first bird to this day?
34:23Why didn't you...
34:24let me in all this?
34:25I didn't know this was gonna happen.
34:32Judith...
34:34I think this is a major play on your part.
34:37You can think that if you want, Darren.
34:43Judith says that...
34:45she...
34:46she did do it on purpose.
34:47And I can't really see why she would tuck me up.
34:50but...
34:51I'm...
34:52I'm on the back foot.
34:53And now I need to...
34:55really...
34:56really...
34:57have it.
34:59Last chance to learn.
35:00Now or never, baby.
35:01If you have the option...
35:03to move someone closer or further, what are you doing?
35:06Judith?
35:07Huh?
35:08Judith.
35:09Further?
35:10Yeah, why not?
35:11Let's hope we get the option.
35:15It's gonna be easy now.
35:18Judith raised concerns about Josh.
35:21I don't know if that was gameplay to get into my head or...
35:25out of genuine concern.
35:26I don't know.
35:27Not too sure.
35:29But...
35:30half of me knows that...
35:31Josh could turn at any point.
35:33And...
35:34is he telling the truth?
35:35I'm just trying to lead with my own head.
35:38Trust my own gut.
35:39But it is just so difficult.
35:49So...
35:50to take someone out.
35:53To take someone out.
35:58Oh, I'd be quiet if I could get him at this point.
36:03Every time.
36:04He's been the reason they're challenging.
36:09I do think...
36:10Darren and I should really stick together.
36:13And I think having an alliance will help me get to the final.
36:16But...
36:17I definitely feel like Josh is...
36:21the biggest threat here.
36:22So...
36:23the...
36:24key thing for me at this stage...
36:26is...
36:27to get Josh out.
36:28But...
36:29we need Slaskier on side.
36:39How are you feeling about the other two?
36:43Well...
36:44I...
36:45I know...
36:46I know what I'd do.
36:47If...
36:48if I could take someone out.
36:49I know who it would be.
36:50It would be the strongest player.
36:51Because then that would give me the best chance.
36:54Which is...
36:56Josh.
37:01I think I've started to realise that.
37:03Well...
37:05We're in a game now.
37:06400k.
37:07Mm-hmm.
37:08It's a four-way thing.
37:09Mm-hmm.
37:10Soon it's gonna be three.
37:12You're right.
37:15You all right, Dazzy?
37:18My head's just spiralling.
37:20Judith and Darren have both raised their concerns about Josh as a threat.
37:24But when I have to make big decisions, I definitely can't make them quickly.
37:28So, um, I need to put my big girl pants on and make some hard decisions.
37:35I've no doubt that when push comes to shove, old Joshy boy will be slung under the bus and chewed up with the exhaust on the way out.
37:44But she's got to be honest with herself first.
37:52Players.
37:54You may have already placed your exes, but this is the semi-final and nothing at this point is certain.
38:01It's now challenge time.
38:02Yes.
38:03You know the drill.
38:05X-goggles on and off the ex-bus.
38:06Let's go.
38:07Oh, man.
38:08Oh, wow.
38:09Oh, wow.
38:10Oh, my God.
38:11Oh, wow.
38:12Oh, my God.
38:13Oh, wow.
38:15Let's go.
38:16Let's go.
38:17Oh, man.
38:28It just got hotter.
38:31Oh, wow.
38:34Oh, my God.
38:35Oh, wow.
38:36Wow.
38:42We are stood outside some Star Wars-y looking building.
38:48I am starting to panic a bit because not only is it obviously not in Paris.
38:54You can't even see a city and you can see for miles.
38:57So, I am absolutely way off the mark.
39:02Pretty funky looking building, isn't it?
39:04I wonder what that is.
39:05I've never been to Marseille.
39:06I don't know what Marseille looks like.
39:08And we're in this mountainous area.
39:10I'm definitely concerned about where I am.
39:20What better place for a game of observation than an observatory?
39:26Let me come down and I'll tell you more.
39:30Whatever's about to happen, it's going to decide the final three.
39:34And, yeah, pretty exciting, actually.
39:37I can pretty much taste the final three at this point.
39:39I can almost touch it.
39:40I can almost touch it.
39:55You have all already placed your exes on where you think your penultimate destination is.
40:01That's done.
40:02Who's feeling confident in their decision and who's feeling worried?
40:11Well, these distances are not set in stone.
40:15If you're beginning to question your position, you now have the chance to change your ex and your future to get yourself into the all-important final.
40:30And within touching distance of the £100,000 prize.
40:36I think whoever wins this is going to have a huge advantage.
40:40But today has been, like, my worst day here.
40:43I'm emotionally drained, but I know what I need to do to win.
40:48Here's how it's going to work.
40:49It's a stick-or-twist challenge.
40:52One at a time, I'll call you into the observatory where you'll see close-up images of various landmarks and celebrities.
41:02Each image is worth a set number of kilometres.
41:06You'll be asked before each image if you want to stick or twist.
41:12If you can correctly guess the image as it zooms out and in the allotted time, you will then bank those kilometres.
41:21The amount that you win will give you the power to move your ex closer towards destination X
41:29or impact someone else by moving their ex in a straight line further away.
41:36Fail to answer correctly within the time and all your kilometres will be lost.
41:43I'm not confident where I've got my ex, so this could be an absolute massive lifeline for me.
41:50If I don't move my ex and if I could, with Judith, pull our mileage, then you could move someone else double the distance away.
41:59Will it pay to be cautious or will you gamble on one last roll of the dice?
42:06This challenge opens everything up. Anyone could go home. Nobody's safe.
42:13Somebody will be leaving after this challenge.
42:17I know who my threat is and, yeah, I think I just need to get over any sort of alliance that I've made now and keep my eyes on the prize.
42:30Josh, you're up first.
42:34Let's begin.
42:35Let's begin.
42:38Good luck.
42:39Good luck, Mike.
42:40See ya.
42:41Josh.
42:42How are you?
42:43Welcome to the Observe Church.
42:45I feel like if I was to get an advantage from winning the challenge today, I'll definitely be using it on Judith.
42:47She's a big threat.
42:48Sort of self-defence.
42:49I feel like she's coming for me, so I hope I can get to her before she gets to me.
42:50I feel like if I was to get an advantage from winning the challenge today, I'll definitely be using it on Judith.
42:55She's a big threat.
42:56Sort of self-defence.
42:57I feel like she's coming for me, so I hope I can get to her before she gets to me.
43:01Oh, man.
43:02You ready to play?
43:05Yes, I'm ready to play.
43:06OK.
43:08You have 10 seconds.
43:23Three images in all.
43:24in all. This first one is worth 50 kilometers. Good luck. Thank you. Your first image, you've got 10
43:31seconds. The loop? It is the loop. Well done. 50 kilometers. Now then, you can stick with that
43:45or you can twist. The next one is worth 100 kilometers. If you twist and you get the next
43:52one wrong, you lose the 50 kilometers. Do you want to stick or twist? I'll twist. You're
43:59going to twist. Yes, please. Image number two. I'll lose Hamilton. Is the right answer. Okay,
44:13you now have 150 in total. Okay. Again, I have to ask you, do you want to stick with that
44:19or do you want to twist? And if you do choose to twist and you get it wrong, you lose the
44:23kilometers. Oh, good. Yeah, go on. You're going to do it? I'll do it. It's going to twist.
44:32Okay. For 150 and to take your total to 300 kilometers, here's image number three.
44:38Divine. I have no idea who that is. Penelope Cruz. No idea. I got too confident. I should
45:01have twisted again because I have no idea who that lady was. It took a stab in the dark,
45:05really. But like an idiot. I'm trying to keep myself confident, but it's quite hard to
45:12do that. Your ex is going to stay where it was. I suppose now you've just got to hope
45:17that nobody else moves yours. Cheers. Thank you, guys.
45:34Oh, goodness. Saskia, you ready for your first picture?
45:40I think so. Yeah. I think in order to win this game, any sort of emotional guilt kind
45:48of needs to just get out of the way. So I'm just trying to get back in the game headspace.
45:53I need to just trust and believe in myself and absolutely smash it, whatever comes my way.
45:58Yeah. Wait, are we doing it or not? Of course.
46:03Seriously? I promise. Okay. I won't go back on it, you know that.
46:06Yeah. Good luck. Yeah, thanks. You too.
46:10Armageddon it is. No more, Mr. Nice Dezza. I need to win. And I need to win now.
46:18I really, really, really, really hope that Darren sticks to our plan, our alliance, because
46:27literally if two people use their advantage on one person, that's enough to send somebody
46:35home. Darren, come and join me in the darkness. Judith. Hello. Welcome to my man cave.
46:43Now, this one is worth 50 kilometres. Okay? Okay.
46:54Are you out of the tower? No.
46:58The Louvre. The Louvre. Um, oh, the Louvre.
47:03You got there just in time. Bloody hell. Well done. Now, you've got 50 kilometres. Okay?
47:11You can stick with that, or you can twist. The next one is worth 100 kilometres.
47:17I'll twist. You're going to twist. Yeah.
47:20Okay. In for a penny, Rob.
47:22Exactly. For 100 kilometres, image number two.
47:29Oh, goodness. Um, Lewis Hamilton.
47:32Yes. Lewis Hamilton.
47:34Oh, dear.
47:35Lewis Hamilton is the right answer. Stick or twist.
47:43Let's do it.
47:44All right.
47:45I just want to collect as many kilometres as I possibly can in this game, so I'm just going
47:51to try and go all the way, because I'll use it to take Josh out.
47:57I've got to go for it.
48:01You're going to go for it?
48:02Go.
48:03My whole future in the game hinges on both myself and Judith doing well, and Judith sticking
48:11to the deal. Otherwise, it's to eat out of the desert.
48:14I think I'll play one more time.
48:17You're going to play?
48:18Yeah.
48:19You're going to twist?
48:20Yeah.
48:20All right.
48:20If you get it wrong, you'll lose everything you have so far in this challenge. You understand
48:24that?
48:25I understand, yeah.
48:26Okay. Okay.
48:28I like to play things on the safe side. When I am in the real world, I definitely don't
48:32like to gamble. But we would be banking kilometres, and I'd need kilometres because there's no playing
48:38it safe. I just want it so bad. And it's definitely now an individual game, so...
48:43So, game on, and may the best player win.
48:52Oh, God.
49:03If you want to move your ex, you have two minutes before it's revealed who will exit the bus and
49:10who continues to play for the £100,000 prize.
49:20We have our finalists, and there's nothing any of them can do about it.
49:25How did that challenge go for everyone?
49:32Fantastic. Best one I've ever done.
49:44I've known from the start that this probably isn't going to be a happy end here.
49:48You've definitely got to expect the unexpected.
49:53Anyone can leave, and it literally comes down to KM.
49:58It is definitely anyone's game at this point.
50:01Is that time?
50:14It is.
50:14Thirteen players started on this incredible journey.
50:39One by one, you saw them all off.
50:42Now, just four of you remain.
50:47But only three of you will be heading into the grand final,
50:51having played the game of their lives.
50:57Sadly for one of you, the journey ends now.
51:03As a result of the observatory game, in no particular order,
51:07the three players whose ex is closest to where we are
51:12and are going to the final are...
51:22Saskia, congratulations.
51:25Thanks, Rob.
51:31Judith.
51:36Congratulations.
51:37So, Josh, Darren, there's only one place left in the final.
51:49The last finalist is...
51:54The last finalist is...
52:08Josh.
52:09...
52:15Penelope Cruz.
52:17I'm so sorry.
52:18Damn.
52:19Your ex stays where it is.
52:22I'm coming.
52:28Darren, this is hard.
52:30This is hard.
52:31I'm sorry.
52:32But I'm afraid for you, this is your final destination.
52:46Well done, Gus.
52:47All right, listen.
52:48Come on, let's have a cuddle.
52:56Don't be silly.
53:01Judith, well done.
53:05Yeah, well done.
53:07Everyone.
53:12So...
53:13No, I'm not going to... I'm not going to do it.
53:31Listen, it's been...
53:39It's been a privilege.
53:41It really is to get to know you all.
53:50Jackie P, here I come.
54:08Oh, my God.
54:11Monaco.
54:15What a view.
54:17Absolutely stunning.
54:20Nowhere near where I put my ex.
54:21The Principality of Monaco is the jewel of the French Riviera, home to over 12,000 millionaires, 200 super yachts, the most glamorous Formula One event on the racing calendar, and the world-famous Casino de Monte Carlo, where fortunes are won and sadly lost.
54:43The reason I got it so wrong is because I weren't really paying as much attention as I should have been.
54:53So, yeah, I should have picked up more clues, but perhaps that's why I'm standing here.
54:59The Mona Lisa was the only one that really sort of stuck in my mind.
55:02That's obviously in Paris, so I had nothing else to go with.
55:08It's a bit hard to take in, actually standing in this incredible Principality of Monaco.
55:14I've had a great experience. I'm pleased I didn't stab anyone in the back. I can hold my head up high.
55:21Setting off from Pisa, the players travelled along the stunning Italian Riviera into France for their first challenge at the former ochre mines Les Mines de Briot in the Lubron National Park, Provence.
55:39Then headed south to the Côte d'Azur Observatoire in Nice before crossing the border into Monaco.
55:45So, did you spot all the clues to Monaco?
55:52I left a treasure trove in the mind challenge.
55:55The image of the Mona Lisa with the message,
55:58She's got company, misdirected Darren to the Louvre in Paris.
56:02But if you take Mona and add the shortened version of company, Co, it leads you directly to Monaco.
56:10There were five named helmets.
56:12One was Grace and another Kelly, in reference to the movie star Grace Kelly, who married Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
56:22There were four playing cards in the dust.
56:25These were a nod to the Principality's world-famous Casino de Monte Carlo.
56:30But the final clue at the mines was a toy racing car, which Josh and Saskia won.
56:34And in the observatory...
56:35Do you want a stick or twist?
56:38Our twist.
56:40The stick or twist game was a nod to Monaco's Casino heritage.
56:45And there were more motor racing clues.
56:47A picture of the racing driver Lewis Hamilton.
56:51A building level sign that indicated they were on floor F1.
56:54All of which pointed towards one of the most famous Grand Prix tracks, Monaco.
57:01And the last clue was the camera sign in the observatory, which was an anagram of Monte Carlo.
57:07It was all there, just waiting to be discovered.
57:13Well, there's certainly worse places I could have been dropped off at.
57:20Next time, the race is on.
57:23First person to find me will walk away with £100,000.
57:29Everything is on the line.
57:31I've only got one shot and I'm going to take it.
57:34To become crowned the winner.
57:36I am capable of winning this.
57:38People underestimate me.
57:40Of Destination X.
57:42Made a best player win.
57:43And that final is tomorrow night at nine here on BBC One.
57:59Later tonight, Champions League play-off highlights.
58:02That's after the news.
58:03Next.
58:13Next.
58:14Next.
58:20Next.
58:21Next.
58:22Moved in.
