00:00Linda, how about it? And we want nothing less than $500 million dollars from Harvard.
00:07Don't negotiate, Linda. They've been very bad.
00:11All of that's working. Well, Mr. President, thank you very much.
00:15Since we are focusing today on Labor Day, and I know that Kelly and Lori are both going to echo some of the things that I'll say as well,
00:24we are really focusing, you know, on our workforce. But what I'm finding with great joy around the country is that states really are being innovative
00:33and working more with middle schools and with high schools to make sure that we are having hands-on learning,
00:40their pathways to jobs that are happening now. And if we see more and more of our community colleges working with our middle schools and our high schools
00:51so that high school students are graduating not only with a diploma, but a certificate that they have worked with,
00:58perhaps with a Toyota or another company that is coming in, public-private partnerships.
01:04And they're learning on the job so that when they graduate from high school, they're ready to go into the workforce.
01:09Because we know with all of these wonderful jobs that are coming back into the country through AI,
01:14through just our normal jobs that we need, electricians, HVAC operators, etc., if we don't have this training,
01:21we're not going to have the workforce we need for all these wonderful jobs.
01:24So governors are really excited about this prospect. I've been now to several states and visited community colleges and tech schools with governors,
01:33and they're just all on board for getting this done. I think it's one of the best things that we're hearing relative to the job market.
01:39So we're just kind of focusing on that for today.
01:44So we're bringing education back to the states, to put it in a more simple fashion.
01:50We're going to let the states educate our children again. And, you know, we're rated out of 40 countries with 38, 39 or 40.
02:00So obviously it's not working what they've been doing for the last 30, 40 years. And if you go back, the best are like Norway, Denmark, Sweden, some of the other Finland.
02:15They're very highly rated. If you go back to just take a look at anything you want to do, you just look at us in the past.
02:23If we gave Iowa or gave Indiana or gave, and I don't say every one of them, you know, a guy like Gavin Newsom is not going to do well.
02:34Certain states won't do well. But even California, you'll cut it up into sections. You have Riverside, you have this, you have that.
02:41You cut it into five sections. And, you know, if you had a good governor, you'd be able to do well.
02:46But certain states will be able to compete with Denmark, Norway, Sweden and everyone. It'll be just as good.
02:54So I figure you have close to 40 of those states. And then you have 10, you have five that won't be very good.
03:02You have five disasters and we'll have to work on those disasters. But for the most part, we will have education that will go zooming up in those charts, just like we have in everything else we've done.
03:13Everything else we've done.
03:14Everything else we've done.
