00:00I remember when we talked before, we talked about your in-laws, your parents-in-law, who are now back in Scotland.
00:07They were, of course, trapped in Gaza, Elizabeth and Majid al-Nakla.
00:10I wanted to ask how they're doing and also how the rest of the family is, because you still have ties, don't you, to Gaza?
00:18We do. Thanks, Tom. It's good to speak to you again, though.
00:21I wish things had improved since the last time we spoke.
00:25In fact, they've, of course, got much, much worse.
00:29And every day, it seems like the situation is worsening and becoming more horrific.
00:34In terms of my in-laws, what can I say? They are traumatised.
00:38I think they will always be thus, I'm afraid.
00:41And in terms of the family in Gaza itself, my wife, Nadia, she has her first cousin, Sally, there.
00:47Sally has four children and a husband.
00:49And those four children, as every day is going on, are losing weight, becoming emaciated, and are starving in front, not just of her eyes, in her arms.
01:01So how can I possibly describe that situation?
01:03Are there any adjectives left to describe the horror that the people of Gaza are facing as a daily occurrence?
01:10So I don't really have the words to tell you how horrific the situation is for Nadia's family in Gaza.
01:16And, of course, that is replicated amongst hundreds of thousands, in fact, millions of families in Gaza that are left there, living this daily nightmare on a daily basis.
