00:00Oh, Thursday night college football.
00:01Now get it.
00:02It's only Wednesday we understand, but you wake up tomorrow morning,
00:05you got way more games on on a Thursday than you would like to see
00:08because last Saturday we only got a few.
00:10Now we start to get the party started.
00:12One of those big games, Joe Ranieri does start with Boise State and South Florida.
00:16You take a look last year, Boise State made it into the college football playoff.
00:18South Florida's still looking to try to find their way,
00:21but they're going to bring back a quarterback that only played a handful of games last year,
00:25and that was Byron Brown who can certainly run,
00:27and I do think he ends up scoring a touchdown that game, hint, hint,
00:30but also from another perspective for Boise State,
00:33you take a look at Maddox Madsen who was the starting quarterback last year,
00:36but at the same time, you're saying to yourself,
00:39well, all I had to do was hand it off to this kid in the back
00:41who was the best running back in college football, no longer there.
00:43He has to step up.
00:4562 and a half, Joe, in the sports landscape right now.
00:47If you're looking from book to book to book on that total,
00:50we're expecting points.
00:51We're expecting fireworks tomorrow.
00:52Well, they're going to have to figure it out in a big way with Boise State
00:57because no longer do they have Ashton Gentry to cover the load,
01:02and they also lost their number one wide receiver from a year ago,
01:08which basically means, Donnie,
01:10that they're going to have to figure out a way to replace over 3,500 yards of offense last year.
01:15That is not going to be good.
01:16I mean, Gentry alone had 29 touchdowns,
01:19and they haven't really figured out.
01:22They've got a whole lot of new wide receivers from Madsen.
01:25Two offensive linemen from a year ago don't look like they're playing in this game.
01:30They are still injured.
01:31So a lot of question marks.
01:33And on the other side, I love what they have done in South Park.
01:37Alex Grolson, year three, has really turned that program around.
01:43They were a laughingstock three years ago.
01:46He's come in.
01:47They've gone back-to-back bowl games.
01:48And Byron Brown is as healthy as he's been so far in college.
01:53And just ask Nick Saban how much fun it was trying to contain Byron Brown a couple of years ago,
01:59and Alabama went to Tampa to take them on.
02:02So I like it.
02:04They spent a lot of the offseason building up the defensive side of the ball.
02:08And here's maybe the kicker, Donnie.
02:09You ready?
02:10At kickoff, 100 degrees, Tampa, with the humidity.
02:15I am fairly certain Boise State, yeah, they don't have that kind of heat where they come from.
02:22Might be a bit of a problem in the second half when their legs go out from under them.
02:26That's what if you say they're going to do.
02:27So I'm full of things.
02:29You may be a little bit older.
02:30But then you can see the video.
02:31You might think of the from this area,
02:32Okay.
02:33So we're going to get the minute back.
02:34After that, let's see.
02:35I'm going to go.
02:36I'm going to go.
02:37So I'm to come to the table.
