00:00Go ahead.
00:00Well, Mr. President, first of all, everyone's made this comment already and needs to be echoed again.
00:04You were elected as the president of Working Americans, and that's why this Labor Day is so meaningful.
00:09For me personally, this is the most meaningful Labor Day of my life as someone with four jobs.
00:13And so...
00:14It's true. It's true.
00:23But on the point of, you made it very clear from the outset,
00:26that even in foreign policy, everything we did has to be pro-American.
00:30It has to make America stronger or safer or more prosperous.
00:33And there's just a few things I want to touch to because it involves your team under your leadership making it happen.
00:38The first is, for the first time in the modern era, we are truly on offense
00:41against organized cartels that are pumping poison, killer poison, into our cities.
00:47And that's a team effort.
00:48It's Christie's team. It's Pete's team. It's Pam's team.
00:52And obviously, it's under your leadership.
00:54And by the way, we're getting incredible economic, international cooperation.
00:58Countries just in the last week, Ecuador, Paraguay, Guyana, Trinidad, today Argentina,
01:03all joining us or trying to be helpful in advancing this.
01:07And this just, you know, one thing is there.
01:08We're going to stop drugs from coming in, and we're having record seizures.
01:11But another thing is to build an international coalition against the scourge on the international stage.
01:17The second is mass migration, illegal mass migration,
01:20which is dangerous for the country but harmful for American workers.
01:23What's happening on the border is essential.
01:25But it's not just what's happening on the border.
01:27And again, Christie and her team have been essential in this.
01:29We have countries all over the world that are actually helping us,
01:32whether it's through safe third country agreements,
01:34whether through it's stopping the migration flow from coming here in the first place.
01:38Incredible international cooperation.
01:40You're not – you've redefined our border.
01:42It's no longer just our physical border.
01:44We are doing things ahead of time to prevent this from happening
01:47and getting cooperations from countries that we've never seen before.
01:50And last, I would say – and Steve touched upon this, who, by the way, is doing a phenomenal job.
01:54Steve is both a great negotiator and he's also a nice guy, which are two tough things to pull off.
02:00But it's incredible.
02:01But we both work for the peacemaker-in-chief.
02:04Think about it.
02:04How fortunate we are as Americans to have a president who's made peace a priority.
02:09And just since the last time we've met, there was a war going on in Cambodia and Thailand,
02:13between Cambodia and Thailand.
02:14And the president just picks up the phone and tells him to stop fighting.
02:17And within 72 hours, the fighting had stopped.
02:20You know, there's no other leader in the world that could have done it.
02:22And the fact that you were willing to spend time to do that and to make it happen is, of course, essential.
02:26And then the war that didn't happen because of Azerbaijan and Armenia coming here to sign that peace deal,
02:32which is historic in so many countries.
02:33You know how many countries said, oh, it's never going to happen.
02:35It is impossible.
02:36And it occurred, Mr. President, because of your leadership.
02:39And then on a point of personal privilege, I wasn't even going to raise it.
02:42I haven't even talked to you about this.
02:43It's a little controversial, but I think I need to bring it up at this time of year.
02:47This thing about people getting married on Saturdays during college football season is a scourge, Mr. President.
02:52It's dividing families.
02:54I don't know if we can have an executive order on this.
02:56It's insane.
02:57But it's really difficult.
02:59There's, you know, seven other months of the year that people can get married,
03:01so I just wanted to say that.
03:03It's very, very difficult.
