Palestinian Group Storms British Defence Facility in Wolverhampton
Transcript
00:00In the early hours of Tuesday, August 26, 2025, a previously unheard-of group calling itself
00:06Palestinian Martyrs for Justice, rammed through the gates of the Moog Aircraft Group facility in
00:12Wolverhampton. The activists numbering four scaled the roof, damaged skylights and solar panels,
00:17and released a smoke flare, as they stood defiant in T-shirts bearing the faces of
00:22Palestinians killed in Gaza. The group claimed Moog's factory supplies components for F-minus
00:2835 and F-minus 16 fighter jets used by Israel. Jets, they say, are implicated in what they call
00:34genocide. Workers at one of Britain's largest aerospace plants found themselves in the middle
00:39of a bold protest that many say crossed the line into criminal damage. Law enforcement and fire
00:45crews arrived promptly. The four suspects were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
00:51Officials have warned the public to steer clear as the investigation unfolds. This incident comes
00:56amid a tense backdrop. Earlier this summer, a High Court upheld government exports of F-minus 35 parts,
01:02even amid contentious legal challenges and growing protests. Last month, another group,
01:09already proscribed, made headlines by infiltrating an RAF base and damaging two RAF Voyager jets.
01:15That action helped catalyse a landmark decision. The UK government designated pro-Palestinian direct
01:21action activists as terrorists under the Terrorism Act. The ramifications have since reverberated
01:26through courtrooms and streets alike. Now, with a new group emerging and turning its sights
01:31on a key component supplier, the security of Britain's defence infrastructure is under renewed scrutiny.
01:37Could this signal a shift toward more aggressive tactics, or a tipping point in how protest and
01:42sabotage clash in the UK's fraught political landscape?
