01:09Ito kasi ang pangalawang beses na mag-host ang Pilipinas.
01:12Halos atlong dekada na ang nakalipas mula ng huling ganaping sa bansa ang kompetisyon noong 1996.
01:21Nasa 300 competitors ang maglalaban para sa 22 skill areas.
01:27Nakasentro sa 6 na sektor ng TVET o Technical and Vocational Education and Training.
01:34Kabilang ang creative arts and fashion, gaya ng pagalingan sa digital game art,
01:41transportation and logistics, pahu-science sa automobile technology,
01:47manufacturing and engineering kung saan aariba ang robotics,
01:52kasama rin ang information and communications technology,
01:55tampok ang mga eksperto sa cyber security.
01:58Hindi rin mawawala ang cooking at iba pang social and personal services skill competition.

02:08mahalaga ang paligsahan para maibida ang galing ng mga Pinoy sa ASEAN.
02:14Mula sa Pilipinas, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia,
02:19Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam,
02:24at sa unang pagkakataon, sasali rin ang Timor Leste.
02:30His skills are the new global currency.
02:34They are the foundation of innovation and the engine of industry.
02:39Skills are more valuable than oil, more enduring than gold,
02:43more transformative than any technology.
02:47And this is why we hold events such as this,
02:49to invest in our people, nurture their talents,
02:54and give them opportunities to further grow.
