The design of the Audi Q3 Sportback

Designer Sergio Cianfarani and Iman Baradaran Sadati present the highlights of the exterior design of the new Audi Q3 Sportback.

00:00What we have now in the market is a beautiful car and our question was how

00:09we can make it better. One was to introduce this line which break in the

00:20volume and we have this one really nicely section that pushed the car and

00:26they bring it as a sporty actually there and we bring it a cabin lower.

00:35And then we have this ufo line now which go all around the car and start from the rings

00:43and this divide the volume in two parts. The upper part is lighting and the bottom of the line is

00:50the shadow and this stretch the car. The rocker is connecting with the front this inclination which

01:03gives this cultural feeling. The main geometric for the front is the single frame. We split the

01:15lamps in two pieces and we have a really strong design element. The front is really upright and

01:23self-confident like an SUV and like how they need to be.
