Apple is preparing a sweeping iPhone redesign over the next three years, starting this September with the debut of the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 lineup, Bloomberg reported. The iPhone Air will replace the iPhone 16 Plus with a lighter design, Apple’s first in-house modem chip, and a light blue color option, but it will lack a SIM-card slot and have shorter battery life. The iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max will feature updated designs, a new camera system, and an orange color for Pro models. In 2026, Apple plans to launch its first foldable iPhone, codenamed V68, with four cameras and Touch ID. By 2027, Apple will mark the iPhone’s 20th anniversary with the “iPhone 20,” featuring a curved-glass design and a new Liquid Glass interface. Apple’s roadmap highlights its push to maintain leadership in the competitive smartphone market, though success will hinge on consumer reception.
