00:00The award-winning film Green Bones was chosen to be the official contender for the Philippines' 2026 Oscar entry.

00:07Other Filipino films which competed with Green Bones to represent the country in the 98th Academy Awards include Sunshine, Magellan, Food Delivery, Hello, Love Again, Some Nights I Feel Like Walking, and Song of the Fireflies.

00:20The Academy Award is for the annual recognition of Best International Feature Film, which is given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the U.S.

00:30To recall, Green Bones received several awards in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024, such as Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Picture.

00:40It was also the biggest winner at the eighth Entertainment Editor's Choice.
