00:00The Philippines has earned three new nominations in the prestigious World Travel Awards,

00:05bringing its total number of nods to 10 this year.

00:09The new categories include Asia's leading regional nature destination for Aurora Province,

00:14Asia's leading cultural city destination for San Fernando Pampanga,

00:19and Asia's leading meetings and conference destination for Clark Freeport Zone.

00:24According to the Department of Tourism, or DOT,

00:26the recognition reflects the growing number of emerging destinations across the country

00:31and a testament to the agency's commitment to advancing President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive

00:38under the National Tourism Development Plan 2023 to the year 2028.
