Depuis son sacre surprise à l'US Open 2021, Emma Raducanu n'avait plus remporté le moindre match à Flushing Meadows. Eliminée d'entrée en 2022 et 2024 et absente en 2023, la Britannique a enfin retrouvé la victoire dans le Grand Chelem new-yorkais ce dimanche contre Ena Shibahara, 6-1, 6-2. Elle affrontera la surprenante indonésienne Janice Tjen au deuxième tour. Raducanu pourrait-elle se rappeler ô bon souvenir de 2021 ?

01:04uh um we're just working really well we're doing the right stuff on the practice court i just feel
01:09like i'm improving you know and it to take confidence from what i'm doing behind the scenes
01:14and not just i have confidence because i've won these matches on the tour you know i'm doing a lot
01:20day to day it's going well and and i'm enjoying it you know i'm enjoying getting better and uh the
01:25process of feeling like at the end of the day uh i'm satisfied i got a little bit better and uh just
01:31repeating it and i think that's probably the biggest um success and reason to to why i feel the way i do
