01:19early morning my alarm goes off at 6 20. third oldest chloe is busy getting ready for work
01:39this is every day that i go to work so like four days a week i don't like
01:44yeah and getting daughter mila ready for nursery you wear leggings every day polka dots
01:53yeah gotta have a strong coffee early morning starts have been chloe's life
01:59if you don't have a nice coffee in the morning you have a crap day since she began working in
02:04the family pie business 14 years ago i really really enjoy my job i love what i do um i love
02:12working with my family you know my dad and my brother um and i do quite enjoy trying to think
02:18of new ideas for it hello and this morning chloe's had one of those ideas what the hell's that this
02:26is some equipment because i'm going to create like a little mini studio so that we can launch our fruit
02:32pies does this involve me talking to a camera anything like that because you know i hate to
02:36of course it involves that of course nothing good comes out of staying in your comfort zone dad
02:43in the last few months chloe has been pushing me to change the way we advertise
02:47well then pop it up chloe's got all these modern ideas gorilla marketing disruptive marketing no idea
02:55what they mean disruptive marketing doesn't sound good at all i make pies as long as somebody buys
03:01pies and tell somebody else that's marketing to me why a green screen what you're putting behind me
03:07it's a surprise that's worrying you've just got to shake these boys up sometimes haven't you
03:15he'll be right i'm not really happy about doing this yeah i know but it's a free way of advertising
03:22you've got all these social medias you may as well use them dad's a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to
03:29social media he doesn't see how far it can reach he'll be fine and today i am the director now let's

03:51and today i would love to hear off you guys which one you would love to launch as long as
03:55a stick to the day job today we are going to be launching some fruit sweet pies we've got a cherry
04:05or we've got miles bar and skittles just a little bit more enthusiasm okay chloe i'll try

04:48hi i'm noel from rapper's pie company and today we are going to be launching some pies sweet pies

05:15ideas are a bit bonkers but i can't grumble because sales are definitely up where did you find that out

05:32little while do you think they'll be very shocked but i think they'll be really happy and excited
05:41i don't know why i'm nervous i'm nearly 30. all right
05:47baby number two is on the way
06:01popping them out aren't they having a baby is obviously a lovely surprise

06:16doesn't matter how many you have they're all blessings aren't they
06:23come on jake time to do this again
06:28it's been very different this time hasn't it yeah just how i feel is just a lot a lot different
06:33a lot more emotional honestly i cry everything i was crying at married at first sight the other night

06:58but no rest for the wicked with a baby due in only five months chloe has set up the biggest marketing

07:08wiggin is the pie capital of the uk but they're using our pies from morecam for their pie eating
07:15competition weekend is home to over 20 pie shops and it's the birthplace of the famous wig and kebab
07:22i said to chloe why don't you let us take it from here put your feet up but she just insisted on coming
07:39it's a world fighting competition you'll never seen anything like this it's been going 27 years
07:44and it just goes bigger and bigger and you know it's a serious competition really tell that to the
07:52man in the sansa hat contestants put your hand up if you're not here is it a bit controversial having
07:59some pies from opening well the word isn't out and i think i might get loads of earache after
08:05of letting a foreigner bring pies so you're very honored so we'll see what they have to say about
08:11them the question is exactly how long does it take to eat one of radford's pies
08:19surely anything under a minute it's got to be a good time ain't it i think under a minute well
08:23yeah it's quite a few guys behind me look like they're all raring to go and get stuck in so i'll
08:27just we'll just see how it goes amongst all the burly pie eating aficionados there's one outsider
08:34who might just be the dark horse of the competition katie are you representing the back
08:41of this today yeah yes i am some gravy to wash it down
08:53chloe is confident that this sort of exposure will help grow the business to where she wants it to be
08:57ladies and gents the rules of the competition are very simple it's eating a pie as quickly as you can
09:07the pies unfortunately from out of town so they're not wigging pies
09:13so if you put your hands behind your back contestants
09:17three two one get eaten
09:19it looks like katie doesn't have a future in competitive
09:49pie eating i knew it was going to be under a minute i didn't realize it would be under 15
09:54seconds that is quick and great publicity and that well go and wash your hands you're not touching me
10:01i was going to ask him what he thought of the pie by going to have tasted it will he
10:05i mean that was just absolutely bonkers wasn't it radford's pies may not hail from wigan but they've
10:12gone down a storm nonetheless said that it was the best quality pies that they've had in the competition
10:16isn't it so yeah so any little bit of press is good press isn't it and the guy that runs it says
10:22you'll be in touch maybe about pies if we can get into a pump chain in wigan with our pies we're laughing
10:30chloe's marketing campaign has worked like a charm
10:34luckily for noel chloe's not going anywhere anytime soon
10:39just thinking of logistics when are you leaving work i worked right up until i had me the last time
10:44didn't i so i think i'll do the same this time i can't stand sitting at home twiddling my thumbs
10:49oh i know tell me about it
10:53i've got a lot of responsibilities these days but having another baby it doesn't change the plan i can
10:58still do it all i know people work like right up until the end of pregnancy i just feel like
11:06it is a really physical job she's still working just as hard as she ever is when you're pregnant your
11:16body's going through such a massive thing isn't it i don't feel well again the body tells you when you
11:24need to slow down just days after being taken ill pregnant chloe is still working
11:50or be it at home i'm okay i just need to take it easy for a few days so dad suggested i stay at home
12:02chloe's mind won't let her rest and she's thinking about work
12:07i am doing two new pies just to try out a couple of different fillings
12:14if you've got customers coming back all the time they might start getting bored of just the same
12:20options all the time so i think it's good to just keep trying new things
12:30when i went on maternity with mila i did miss work
12:34more sauce in there i always want to be working it's easier to work
12:40than be a stay-at-home mom it's a fair play to the women that do it it's not for me look at them
12:51as chloe perfects her pies
12:59it's down to partner jake to entertain two-year-old daughter mila
13:03whilst chloe knows the direction of her career jake is less certain stay there for a bit i'll go get
13:16a coffee you know i feel like i've had a bit of a bad run with jobs that i've got you know they
13:21haven't really turned into to something that i wanted how do we get to these slides lead the way
13:27but then i think to be fair i didn't really know what i wanted to do i think i've had my experience
13:34in jobs to know what i don't want to do over the years jake has tried his hand at an array of
13:42different things with varying success from welding to modeling so far nothing he's tried has lasted
13:54that long yeah but having mila has helped give him focus i think i wanted to obviously raise my
14:03kids with confidence and that's kind of like my main goal in life now is like being a good role model
14:10and being someone that she can look up to come on mila his new focus has led jake to pursue a long
14:17held ambition i'll work your job work your job it's all power from your legs mila you got to drive
14:23drive through your hips jake's plan is to open his own gym probably will go mad if i'm showing at
14:29that i've finally found something that i actually do want to do and i have a i have a genuine interest
14:36in it your nose your nose yeah don't do that don't do that no don't do that that's disgusting and
14:45obviously if i make a career out of it in a way i'll be kind of like proving to her that
14:50you know if you want something you know you can pretty much do whatever you want it just takes
14:56just takes working towards it we're gonna start your warm-up to make his gym dream a success hi jake
15:05nice to meet you darling how are you all right jake wants to research and speak to as many gym owners
15:11as possible okay right let's get ready to work out station one do you want to talk to them a bit
15:17yeah have a little chat please guys a gym is very much my comfort zone that's it work at your level
15:27guys but running a business is very much out of it that's it oh hang on a minute make sure you've got
15:35true the seven size you've got seven and a four i've never done anything like it before
15:44honestly after going in there and having a word with him it's made me want to do it even more
15:49i feel like this is like my calling this is this is what i should be doing
15:57starting this new business means more weight on chloe's shoulders
16:00at the moment i am the one with the more stable income jake is trying to pursue his dream which
16:08i'm more than happy for him to do i just want him to be happy
16:15modern life can be full-on
16:19so sometimes you've got to take a bit of time to stop and smell the roses
16:25or whatever you find washed up on the beach
16:30and that's exactly what eldest daughter sophie has been doing
16:42so i've got three kids 12 10 and 9 and my mornings start half past five getting them dress fed
16:49cleaned ready to leave the house for half past six and then i go off to work home for four shopping tea
16:57baths cleaning it's very hectic definitely picked a nice spot i mean look at it absolutely clear
17:05two little swans just living the best life it's great
17:09day-to-day life has sort of just been a little bit of a struggle definitely did make me feel quite low
17:18oh god that don't tickle on the feet
17:20talking to friends and family made me realize that i do need to start thinking about
17:26the way i'm feeling as well so starting exercise and going outdoors a lot more
17:33and just the feeling you get it's so so nice like you just come back feeling a different person
17:40oh my goodness
17:50oh god what's that a shark a piranha is that a poo bag worse than a shark then
17:56come back here oh my god for sophie the floater has come as a shock
18:07i suppose you're always going to find something in the water but you shouldn't be finding stuff like
18:13i think it's wipes or tissue inside that oh dear is that rubbish over there it's a bit of plastic
18:21it seems there's worse to come
18:27that is an energy drink quite sharp-edged on that actually
18:31but it is a little bit disappointing when you see rubbish laid about everywhere
18:34i mean you wouldn't dump it on the floor in your house would you there's bins everywhere we should
18:39just be using a bin
18:43sophie's relieved that daughter daisy isn't with her
18:46daisy is one of those people that notices everything you know someone's not picked
18:50the dog poop on the floor rubbish on the floor she notices these things does daisy
18:56daisy definitely cares about her environment the younger generation seem to
19:02you
19:08i've had another big order come in six bags of steak five pods of chicken and one bag of kid night
19:17feeling much better chloe has returned to the front line of pie production
19:21i really really enjoy my job i really enjoy trying to find ideas to push the business forward
19:32i've got a two-year plan i want bradford pies on all of the supermarket shelves
19:39life is pretty full-on at the minute i've got a lot of people relying on me like dad mila jake
19:45having another baby it doesn't change the plan i can still do it
19:51i'm feeling the pressure but this is what women do isn't it
19:56it certainly is chloe but nolan sue are concerned
20:01i have been worried that chloe has been pushing herself a bit too hard at the moment
20:05so i've taken the decision to go into work to help out a bit and just keep a bit of an eye on
20:10her to make sure that she's not overdoing it there's your hair net when sue last worked the
20:16business was run from the back of a high street shop i'm excited for mom to come in but might be a
20:22bit of a shock thinking about when she last worked here to how it is now i mean it's a big change right
20:28so i'm just on with blocking because we've got i think 100 of the chicken pies yeah pretty much doing
20:34everything today you're not just doing the shop anymore you're doing all the online filling right
20:39oh yeah i've always started just just learning how to make the pies and things but now she's got a
20:45much more responsible role i have like a bit more of a manager role here now so i'm not sure she's going
20:53to find that a bit strange i know you've obviously blocked pies before but you've not used this one
20:59i'm not using that machine so you're off right let's do it one out one in
21:13a lot more pies it was a lot more stressful as well got a lot to get through these have got to be
21:20packed quickly and out the door the pies are needed urgently to be sold today
21:26if chloe misses her deadline they'll go to waste
21:35oh god
21:48sake
21:49i'm not too much to do today like one o'clock it's getting stressful
21:58under pressure now it's just like pies pies pies and i come in just from all different directions
22:05even for me with no responsibility it was really hard work it fell off the side of it
22:11there you got it lord only knows what it's been like for chloe
22:16as usual chloe has ensured they've hit their deadline
22:21but the morning has only confirmed sue's worries
22:25i know chloe said that she wants to work like right up until she's due but i'm just i'm not sure
22:30i think that's going to be a bit too much with her yeah like she's on she's on feet all day
22:34i used to go right up until like probably 37 38 weeks didn't i yeah well how did you feel exhausted
22:47but um the only worry is is that sometimes you don't really realize until you know you've got a
22:53really sore pelvis or you've got sore back or whatever you've overdone it dear
22:57in the ideal world she needs to finish earlier her own health and baby's health but but you know
23:04what we're talking about you can't tell her can you
23:27most people who live in or visit morecam love and respect the five miles of sandy coastline
23:43but lately a few thoughtless people have left a stretch of the beach needing a little tlc
23:51when you visit somewhere every day you do kind of take it for granted i mean you don't really notice
23:56you know like a negative change that's happening because you see it so much
24:01but when sophie told daughter daisy about all the rubbish she found on the beach
24:05daisy wasn't having any of it sometimes it just takes a fresh set of eyes to you know
24:11say no this isn't acceptable
24:15hi sophie all right hi yeah yeah i've got someone that wants to talk to you who's that
24:20i'll put her on now one second
24:24nana hi nana hi daisy you all right darling i feel annoyed nana
24:30mum found some rubbish on the beach there's animals in there that could die
24:34we need to keep it clean nana daisy is our oldest grandchild and she's now growing up really fast
24:41people don't pick up the litter and they need to stop it is annoying daisy i get what you mean
24:46i think it is good to talk to the next generation you know they can teach us things of
24:51what's important i think that we need to get some people to help clean it up
24:57i need many of us to do the beach clean daisy that is such a brilliant idea yeah no no i really want
25:05a bunch of people to come i love that idea do you want us to get the kids together no no we need
25:11everyone leave it with me daisy and i'll see what i can do bye i feel a bit like i've been put on the
25:17naughty step by my granddaughter we're really gonna have to do something about it aren't we
25:21all right that means a radford call to arms
25:33i really need your help with something you need something from them good luck with that
25:41i just need two hours of your time next saturday tilly what are you doing on saturday going out
25:48my friends max take a wild guess gaming yeah no your beach cleaning weekend hits on the kids free
25:54time do not go down well i'm gonna go play football can't be bothered are you coming to help clean the
26:02beach yeah even the ones that'll say they'll go on the day they'll be oh my back hurts my leg hurts
26:08the old wall wound hurts and they just won't go hi are you coming to the beach please i'm going with my
26:13friend lila going with your friend lila don't depend on them right meeting dismissed you can go and do
26:20whatever you were doing that's not really good turnout is it oh that's rubbish we need more than
26:26that we need like 30 or more with just three days to organize daisy's army of beach cleaners it's not
26:36looking good we need to get more people there don't we and it'd be a bit of a disaster what can we do
26:46need litter pickers some gloves that's a good one there jayzy's hoping her family won't let her down
26:55there's some bags this would come in handy but just in case she has a backup plan
27:03and i've just hacked into nana's facebook account she's got loads of followers that should do the trick
27:25there are now only 10 weeks to go till chloe's second child is due
27:28juggling her busy schedule with her pregnancy is starting to take its toll
27:37struggling a bit more just with like aching and that i think with your second pregnancy it's more
27:42draining just because obviously you've got a toddler to look after as well as being tired anyway from being
27:49pregnant yeah i'm knackered the expectant father jake is pushing ahead with his dream
27:59me opening my own gym is risky but i really believe if you enjoy doing something you'll be successful
28:06like i suppose it's a bit like getting fit no matter what condition you're starting you can always
28:14do it you just need belief and a lot of hard work
28:21hello i'm tom nice to meet you yeah nice to meet me jake is viewing potential premises
28:26i mean it was previously using an office in here uh but it could be easily converted into a gym
28:31yeah we got air conditioner as well up in the roofs that's one less job for you to do and it's
28:35a pretty open space as well to actually fit all your gym equipment in here in the back is basically
28:39just storage kitchen area yeah with his gym ambitions jake has one driving force it's something
28:47that i want to do i want chloe to look at me and think you know i do i do work hard and i i
28:52do have a vision of what i want to do i feel like i'd be good at it up here could have a mirror up
28:59against the wall dumbbell rack running down here a few more machines over there and then a couple of
29:05maybe treadmills a couple of bikes there's opportunity definitely yeah it's exciting
29:15but while jake is busy researching his new business venture
29:18in the bakery chloe is feeling ill once again
29:30we shut up shop straight away
29:34come on let me get my head
29:37me and luke looked after her can you just get me a glass of that um
29:40uh that guava one please
29:47she obviously wasn't well so i took her home
29:58by the time i dropped her off she perked up she was actually fine
30:01but a few hours later that wasn't the case
30:15she was actually fine
30:23what's the matter he usually moves he's usually moving when i lie down but um
30:30doesn't i feel a bit uneasy about it i'm just gonna have to bring triage

30:45are you worried chloe he's just not been moving really i've tried you know like a fizzy drink
30:52having so much sweet yeah laying on my side there's just nothing really
31:04as chloe is taken down for an emergency scan
31:07i think last night i was just
31:34just awful wasn't it i was just panicking to be fair
31:41just thinking like it doesn't feel like he's moving
31:48just an awful feeling awful we ended up at triage we went into the room
31:57and then they just did the doppler and listened into his heartbeat didn't they
32:01and my hand was just shaking and just yeah we had like that uneasy feeling didn't we the whole time
32:14and then
32:16lo and behold as soon as the doppler goes on he's
32:18doing so yeah main thing is baby boy seems happy in there
32:25um on the monitor and everything heartbeat is good but yeah they were they were happy with him
32:31everything was fine and you just breathe such a sigh of relief don't you yeah yeah
32:39it's just scary isn't it
32:51thankfully chloe and baby are okay but sometimes after a traumatic experience you just need your mum
32:59i just kind of feel like you've been burning the candle at all ends really chloe you know you've
33:05been trying to grow the business you know you've got mila to look after and you know supporting jake
33:13and everything i just feel like you've just taken a bit too much on i feel like that's just women
33:17though isn't it it's like it is it's a woman want to get everything done don't we yeah as soon as i open
33:23my eyes like i'm just that's it then i'm just go go go yeah but you've always been like yeah but us
33:29women we just power on through don't we do don't we power houses we're independent women yeah we are
33:35but i do really feel like you need to just listen to your body and just slow down a bit now
33:41before we lost alphie i think definitely took pregnancy for granted because you don't expect
33:47that to happen to you no and then obviously when we lost alphie
33:51it really puts things into perspective that at the end of the day
33:56the only thing that matters is making sure that you know he gets here safely yeah yeah you've got
34:02to remember not to get too caught up in like just work and that exactly the scare was a realization
34:10moment for me that you know work and my career and things like that it's it doesn't matter the
34:17important thing is my family and this little bump i am really proud of you though cory you take on
34:27absolutely everything you're you you really are a powerhouse i just want him here now like you just
34:34want to know that they're all right and get them here safe and sound
34:52you've got some litter pickers haven't you litter pickers always say pickles
34:57when 12 year old daisy heard about the growing amount of rubbish building up on morecambe beach
35:03let's get it on she refused to sit back and do nothing hey you're ready and raring to go aren't
35:10you let's go let's let's let's help the environment guys come on i'm really proud of
35:16the girls getting stuck in and helping and they're actually enjoying themselves which is nice so
35:20not only are we doing something good they're enjoying it as well but there's more rubbish on
35:24the beach than these litter pickers can manage mom yeah do you think nana's coming um i'm hoping so
35:32that's a biscuit thing all is not lost
35:38the radfords have arrived

35:49you're gonna go see what you lot can find i'm gonna be green i think this is a brilliant idea
35:58daisy and i can't believe how much rubbish you've found her i know do you know when you first come
36:04on you don't really think there's much here but don't do you yeah ah this is dangerous the birds and
36:12fish this rope can get stuck around seals necks and kill them daisy is very serious about it so she's
36:20the greta thunberg today but even with the help of her super-sized family there's a mountain to climb
36:33luckily daisy had a trick up her sleeve
36:35the power of social media
36:47more people are coming hi
36:51loads of people in the proper army of beach cleaning
36:54oh it's really good isn't it
36:56and to be honest i didn't think many people would come and help but we've got a lot of people helping
37:02it's nice what is it brilliant pop it in or job people travel quite away there's somebody that's
37:11traveled about two and a half hours i've been out from manchester but i've got a caravan up here
37:17and i think it's nice just to get involved with places that you visit and see and then the youngsters
37:23helping out it's amazing
37:24we came here for holidays not long ago it was absolutely lovely so when we saw the uh advert just
37:34wanted to uh come and hike it's important that the beach is kept free from all this rubbish it's not
37:43only affecting the wildlife and everything it's affecting everybody that comes down to the beach
37:48what have we got must be must be getting our 50 people here surely i've got so much rubbish
37:57so much yeah i'm really proud of daisy you've done good daisy
38:04we've got a lot today everybody's bags are quite full
38:07after two hours daisy's army have cleared the beach
38:11yeah there's a fair few bin bags full of rubbish there and they're doing a bit for environment
38:17as a big family it's something we can get a bit of stick part uh being a big family you think you're
38:24just trashing the environment don't you but you know we do our best to not
38:28here we go
38:35are you going to dish them out daisy
38:37noel's taking a leaf out of chloe's book and doing some gorilla marketing
38:42there's that lady there behind oh there we've got two

38:48i've got my favorite

38:53i always wanted to try a radford pie we came from sunland and we were going to go to the shop anyway so

39:05i can't believe how many people turned up it's really good and i think we've made a massive difference out

39:44and chloe has taken her mom's advice to listen to her body and slow down
39:48oh dear i found it surprisingly easy to switch off and do nothing i could get used to this

40:07with chloe off work jake has made some big changes also
40:12yeah about to put the the gym dreams on hold for now
40:16just to get just to get another job and that's going to be able to help support chloe
40:20uh at this moment in time

41:15i feel good yeah i feel really good i'm just glad it's over with and he's here and he's safe
41:30yeah we're gonna go home get settled into family life before

41:37it's just a just a huge relief you know that baby's here fine and well chloe's fine and well
41:46and that's at the end of the that's all that matters
41:53look i'm all in the window it's time to introduce newborn bodie to the rest of the family

42:03it's a bit hectic can't wait for some cuddles i am very excited number 12 grandchild coming
42:09around i don't know what when i might get a cuddle but hey just have to wait my turn
42:14it could be a long wait with this many in the queue 12 grandkids we're up to now that is a lot
42:19isn't it i have no idea where we'll finish up at maybe 40. i'm gonna show everybody baby brother
42:27the guest of honor has arrived
42:38he's a little diggy dog you might need my magnifying glass for this he is tiny
42:49i'm really surprised how small he's tiny
42:52all that man over there is that it come on six pounds six he was oh my goodness mind
