00:00Does that feel a game where you could easily have won it and you had the chances to win it
00:25and you're wondering why you came away without anything?
00:30I'm not wondering. Of course the game could also go in a different direction but in the end it's about scoring goals when you create the chances and keeping a clean sheet and there were some details we didn't make right and that's something we have to improve if we want to win a game.
00:50Fabian, can I ask you first about Jorginho Ruta? Why he wasn't involved and when you knew he wouldn't be involved?
01:05Yesterday he had a small issue in training and unfortunately then we had to make the decision so it's only a small issue. I'm sure that he will be back soon.
01:16And the other one was Carlos at half-time coming off?
01:20Just tactical.
01:21That was tactical rather than injury related?
01:23Yes.
01:24I think it's important that you also have a defensive mindset. For example how to defend one-against-one situation with the first goal where Grealish had a one-against-one. We knew how we want to defend. We didn't make it well. It's a thing of supporting.
01:41Of communication in the right moment. Second thing is how do we defend throw-ins. I think every restart counts. We didn't have this mindset that we were alive in these moments.
02:02And then I think in open play we didn't have big problems but it was more like the restart of the game.
02:15Obviously there's been a lot of focus on Carlos' future. Do you think that affected him today in any way?
02:21No, I don't think so.
02:23And you think he'll still be here?
02:25Yes.
02:32I mean, did you feel when you try and get back into the game you were a bit short on attacking options with the circumstances the way things are?
02:46If you score the goals we won't have this discussion. So I think we created so many chances. And not only chances, I think they were big, big chances.
02:55And that's something where I wouldn't say because I think it would only be an excuse if we say that we missed the striker or that we had not enough offensive opportunities to change.
03:12So overall we created enough to win this game. We had enough chances to score. So I think that's the main thing to take away, no matter how many options we had.
03:22Will you take that away in a more positive mindset maybe tomorrow when you reflect?
03:27I think already now. When you really look at the game, I think we started well. We had two big chances the first 20 minutes.
03:36Everton came out of nowhere after a throw-in. Then again, we hit the post, we had a big chance of Maddie Riley before the half-time.
03:48So we could score easily more goals. And I think then the dynamic of the game is completely different.
03:55But like I said, that's not the fact. The result says something else and in the end the result doesn't lie.
04:03So we have to be honest to ourselves that in these moments where you have to score goals, where you have to defend your own goal, we have to do better.
04:09Thank you. Matt O'Reilly, he was on the pitch still. He scored the penalty last week. Was Danny Welbeck always going to be the penalty taker today if one cropped up?
04:25Yes. Was that a discussion that they decide on the pitch or is that something?
04:32No, there are no discussions because every role is clear before the game.
