00:00Previously on Project Runway, I'm back!
00:07I'm having a slight flashback because in my other season,
00:12it was also a team challenge, and I'm having a little PTSD.
00:16What's happening? I already need a martini. All right.
00:19In season 19, I left on episode one,
00:22but I'm very confident about what I made for this challenge.
00:26Literally, like, my intern could sew that in 30 minutes.
00:29I'm a Gemini. I take critiques very like,
00:31don't tell me what to do.
00:33That was the one that I'm using.
00:34Okay, well, I can use it too.
00:36BJ is in her own bubble.
00:39She's very standoffish.
00:40Which part of my start?
00:42This is my best-in-law.
00:43Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
00:45She's what we call in the business.
00:47A .
00:49Congratulations, Ethan.
00:51You're the winner of this challenge.
00:53Shut up!
00:54Casey, Joseph, and Antonio.
00:57You had the three bottom looks.
00:58Am I being punk?
01:00Ooh.
01:01Oh, he's spicy.
01:02I don't think there's any reason to be defensive.
01:04No, I'm not being defensive at all.
01:05Casey, it's very lackluster.
01:08And what you then wrapped around to me looks like an afterthought.
01:11Do we sit home with a bad dress or the bad attitude?
01:14Just very emotional.
01:16I can't believe this is happening again.
01:18You're so mean.
01:19I'm gonna know.
01:20Why am I here?
01:21I want to go home.
01:26A stake for the winner is $200,000, a spread in Elle magazine, and a life-changing mentorship
01:33with the CFDA.
01:34I can't believe it could happen again.
01:36It just feels like a bad joke.
01:37I can't go home.
01:38Like, I didn't get to show who I was as a designer.
01:41Let's prove to them that we'd make it to the end.
01:45My brother and I are supposed to make it to the end together.
02:11I can't believe I'm in the bottom.
02:13I might be going home.
02:15We're ready?
02:26Casey, Antonio, Joseph, we've made our decision.
02:38Joseph, you're safe.
02:42You can leave the runway.
02:45Thank you, Joseph.
02:52Casey, you had the most beautiful fabric, but it was evident you had unresolved design
02:59problems.
03:01Some people, no worries, but you had the most beautiful fabric.
03:04I don't know how many of you had the most beautiful fabric, but it was very beautiful.
03:05I don't know how many of you had the most beautiful fabric, but you had the most beautiful fabric.
03:06who was despicable hmm Casey Antonio one of you will be in and one of you will be
03:19out Antonio you're in
03:36you can leave the runway work about it ah Casey I'm so sorry but that means
03:49you're out yes oh my god you're so sweet I'm so grateful to met you good luck thank
03:57you guys I'm like beyond shocked to be eliminated for this lock Casey yes I know it's rough going
04:13on the first it's hard but you're so talented that's why you're here that's why you came back
04:17right think about hold that thank you I'm gonna send you the workroom clean up your space say
04:22goodbye to everybody okay okay thank you and good luck it feels harsh to leave at this stage of the
04:27competition again I definitely feel like I wish I could have shown more but I still am really proud
04:32of it project runway is an experience I will never forget and I'm probably finished with as of now
04:39all right come back sit around we're not done oh my god what Christian I don't know how much we
04:52can take today competition is very real now you just saw it Casey walked out the door goes quick
04:59Ethan congratulations thank you so much I have something extra for you
05:08oh my jeez oh what do you got mama because you guys are gonna continue to work in houses a little
05:17longer as a winning designer in the next challenge you're gonna have an opportunity to swap a designer
05:24from a house Christian Siriano really came in and was like let me just drop a rock into this pond
05:35think on think on it like Heidi said new house new rules okay you'll decide at the next challenge the
05:44houses aren't over yet get ready for it bring it on I think I know what I'm gonna do things about to get
05:51you guys guys listen to this here's a gift put these on and meet me in the workroom Christian
06:01wow thank you that last challenge was a lot for me and Antonio I think you are being defensive and also a little bit rude sorry if you hate the code I hate the whole look but at the same time
06:08Listen to this.
06:09Here's a gift.
06:10Put these on and meet me in the workroom, Christian.
06:14What?
06:14What?
06:16Let's go.
06:19That last challenge was a lot for me and Antonio.
06:23I think you are being defensive and also a little bit rude.
06:26Sorry if you hate the coat.
06:28I hate the whole look.
06:29But at the same time, Law, don't you worry.
06:31We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:33We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:36All right, everybody, let's go to the workroom.
06:39Yes.
06:41My strategy about this switch is I really
06:43want to make sure I'm making the best decision for me.
06:46So do I get rid of Jesus, the boisterous one?
06:50All I have to do is prove him wrong.
06:53Or VJ that is hard to work with.
06:56How's it going, Diva?
06:58This one.
07:00So here's to the right choice.
07:04I like to shake it up and keep that body working.
07:06Yes.
07:07And class begins.
07:09All right, come on.
07:11Get zen.
07:12Get comfortable.
07:13Get on your mat.
07:16I don't know any yoga poses.
07:17Does anybody know yoga poses?
07:20OK, come show me.
07:21Yoga is not my thing.
07:23I'm the type of person that gets really bored in the gym.
07:26Bend this knee, yes.
07:28My workout is walking to that coffee shop and then enjoy
07:33people watching.
07:34That's my workout.
07:36I think I pulled something.
07:39So you're going to continue to work in houses, Ethan.
07:43Remember, you have the power to swap a member of your house.
07:48I think I am going to do a swap.
07:51A swap.
07:52If Ethan is smart enough, he's going to keep me
07:57because he knows what I'm capable of doing
07:59and he knows I'm a strong designer.
08:01I think he should get rid of VJ because she has not
08:04been a team player and bring over Antonio.
08:07The pressure.
08:08The pressure is getting wussaps.
08:10Yes.
08:12So I'm going to swap Jesus with Madeline.
08:25Jesus and Madeline.
08:28Wow.
08:31You messed up, honey.
08:32I hope you don't regret your decision.
08:35I have full confidence that you're going to kill it.
08:37And I really want to see this dynamic happen because y'all
08:40have all been claiming that y'all are a powerhouse together.
08:44And I want to see it.
08:45Well, get ready.
08:47They are all talk.
08:49They run a store together, but I'd love
08:51to see this store close, baby.
08:54All right.
08:55For this challenge, each house must create
08:58a cohesive activewear capsule collection,
09:02where the collection goes from workout to the weekend
09:05with one of the hottest activewear companies, Kalia.
09:10So to give you guys some more insight into Kalia,
09:15we have a special guest, vice president and head designer
09:19for Kalia, Alicia Scott.
09:25Oh, beautiful.
09:26Hi, guys.
09:27So good to meet all of you.
09:29We created Kalia about 10 years ago and really wanted
09:32to form a brand that is the perfect juxtaposition of fashion
09:37and femininity and function.
09:39And I love how you guys have all styled all your pieces
09:41you got today.
09:42Our entire collection is rooted in performance.
09:45If you're designing a look for Pilates or run,
09:48it needs to be able to function.
09:50We believe there's beauty in the burn.
09:52How's it going to work whenever she is doing a downward dog?
09:55Make sure that when you're designing a piece,
09:57it can be used for working out, going to grab coffee,
10:01going out to grab cocktails with your friends.
10:03It needs to be versatile.
10:05So not only has Kalia provided look books,
10:08they've also provided all the fabrications for the challenge.
10:11OK.
10:12That's not all.
10:14Kalia is going to produce and sell the winning look
10:20from the winning collection.
10:21Woo!
10:22That would be so cool to have a Joseph McCray and Kalia produce.
10:26Like, I feel like it would eat down.
10:27I love the idea of this, like, beauty in the burn.
10:31So what if we have, like, fire on the runway?
10:34Ooh!
10:35Like, actual fire.
10:38So you'll have all of today and part of tomorrow
10:41to create your fire-worthy collections.
10:44Don't you love a one-day challenge?
10:45Yes.
10:47One day to do this, as if there weren't enough stress already.
10:51It's the burn of it all.
10:52Oh, my God.
10:53Bye.
10:54Bye.
10:55Bye.
10:58Ethan, you want to see what it's like when you put Antonio
11:01and I together?
11:02It's going to be game on.
11:04And it's going to push me to even do better to beat him.
11:08And then he's going to realize that he up.
11:12Girl, whatever.
11:19What's our team?
11:20Team...
11:21Wow.
11:22Team winner.
11:23Team winner.
11:24That's a good one.
11:25Team winning.
11:26No.
11:27It has something to do with fire.
11:28Team burn.
11:29I guess it's final answer.
11:31I'm glad I put together a strong team.
11:34I really wanted to equalize the energy of our group
11:37by putting all of the boisterous energies on one team.
11:41I want the eight.
11:43I bet you're first.
11:45I'm actually very happy that Ethan let go Jesus,
11:49because I don't want another drama.
11:52That was the one that I'm using.
11:54Which one?
11:55Well, I can use it too.
11:57And it could be hot to do the lines in the pop-up wrap.
12:01That's what I was thinking.
12:02So we'll all have the lines incorporated?
12:03Yes.
12:04Yes.
12:05Okay.
12:06Okay, guys, we need to start the cutting fabrics.
12:08I just want to be cohesive.
12:10I do like this color story situation going on over here.
12:13But we got to pick a group of fabrics and all go with it, you guys.
12:17We decided to call our team the House of Lotus because we wanted to feel the zen within the berm.
12:22And so coming off the last challenge, being in the bottom, our stickler was our cohesion.
12:28So as we're going through these fabrics that Kalia provided us, we're really paying attention to what color palette we want to do so that we really nail that cohesion this time.
12:38Because if we miss it two times in a row, we're going to be done for.
12:42I love this fabric.
12:44I was trying to get the colors out of this.
12:46This has all your colors.
12:50Once again, Antonio is choosing the fabric.
12:53And I'm getting a little anxious because the last time he chose fabric, we were in the bottom.
13:00Can y'all roll the tape back?
13:01The fabric that I brought from home is in pink.
13:04So let's have the inspiration of our collection be butterflies.
13:07That's the best one out of all of them.
13:09I think we should go with that.
13:10I don't like that.
13:11No?
13:12Mm-mm.
13:13You like this better?
13:14I mean, I like this.
13:15I don't like that either, but I mean.
13:16That's what I wanted to start with.
13:18Miss Joan, I want to know.
13:19It is what it is.
13:20Oh, is the drama already beginning?
13:23You know, working with the twins, you know, they're a whole vibe, but our looks have to be cohesive.
13:29I love Miss Joan, but she's a little, little old school and stuck in the back in the days.
13:35This fabric is so cool.
13:36It's just more young.
13:37I'll make it work.
13:43Don't use the fabric scissors, you nincompoop.
13:46I love Alex.
13:47I didn't expect this competition to become so connective so quickly.
13:52And me and Alex bonded so quickly.
13:54It's so soft.
13:55It's so cozy.
13:56Like she's going to be in it and be like, wow.
13:57I want it.
13:58I'm making a lounge sweatsuit with a corset bustier top.
14:04It all sprouted from trying to use the aspects of a kimono.
14:09I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, but my Nana was a tailor from Nagasaki, Japan.
14:16So I find a lot of inspiration in what the Japanese call intangible cultural treasures.
14:24But my mama would say that I don't bring enough of the South with me.
14:31How are you feeling this week?
14:32Feeling great.
14:33It looks really cool.
14:34Thank you so much.
14:35I appreciate that.
14:36You are absolutely looking at the next winner of Project Runway.
14:42My design aesthetic is a combination of street wear and elegance.
14:46I want to win Project Runway for my daughter, Ava.
14:49It's right here.
14:51Having her change me as a person, it gave me so much more drive.
14:54And I do this all for her.
14:56So I have to make this stand out and hopefully wild the judges.
15:00Madeline, what informs your work?
15:06I'm trying to always like see things that I like about vintage fashion, but then giving it like my own little twist.
15:15What about yourself?
15:17I grew up in like a hoedunk farm town.
15:19I just felt inherently so different from the rest of my family.
15:22The only thing I could really do was, you know, rely on my own creativity and imagination
15:28to kind of distract me from maybe not feeling like it belonged there.
15:33Did they accept you as you are?
15:35You know, when I finally did come out, they were like, we don't get it yet, but we just don't want to lose you.
15:43So we're going to try to figure this out.
15:45I feel really blessed to be able to have my family in my life.
15:50So it makes me want to really push myself to win this for them.
15:58Hello.
15:59Hey, how's the team going?
16:02I do think the silhouette of this skirt, you still have to figure out.
16:08Oh, Lord, this might send me home.
16:11I am a technical designer and I am a serious workaholic.
16:17My family is Jamaican and I've always been raised with all the elders around me doing multiple things.
16:23Even if it's not their job, they're going to figure out how to do it that day and do it.
16:27So I have to push myself because this workout weekend challenge is taking me out of my comfort zone.
16:34I really wanted to do something that was extremely comfortable.
16:37I think it feels a little too demure.
16:40I think I made the right decision.
16:42I was the one who fought to use this print because Mrs. Joan didn't like it. She still doesn't like it.
16:47She still doesn't like it.
16:48Okay, so you did it again.
16:50You wanted a print again.
16:52Everybody wants this print?
16:56Groundbreaking, this circle skirt.
16:59Yeah.
17:00Mm-hmm.
17:01I can cut a circle out right now and do this in 10 minutes.
17:03Really?
17:04Yeah.
17:05We're kind of not the exact same look from the last challenge.
17:10You're making a jacket and a jacket and a skirt?
17:13A jacket and a skirt.
17:16Let me tell you a little something about Christian Seriano.
17:19Christian would come in the workroom like,
17:21mm, are you sure about that?
17:24Or he'd be walking around like, mm, okay.
17:27That little face be killing me with them glasses and that hair perfectly swapped to the side.
17:32The top being fabulous is very important here.
17:35You should develop this more because you already know you can make a cool jacket.
17:39I'm going to listen to Christian because I know I'm taking a risk, but I do not want to be in the bottom again.
17:44You got a lot to do.
17:45I got you.
17:46Okay.
17:47Let's get it.
17:49I'm kind of going for like that modern with a little bit of Tron.
17:52This sash doesn't do anything.
17:55She couldn't do any athletic things with this hanging.
17:59Mm.
18:02What are all these lines on this?
18:04So I kind of want to achieve this kind of like texture.
18:07All of these lines you're going to weave.
18:10The inspirations for this design is the Kalia logo.
18:13It's like a twisted string.
18:16It's like very dynamic.
18:18What are you doing?
18:19It's going to be like a more like athletic, fancy corset, bustier kind of thing.
18:28This makes no sense for an athletic look.
18:32That scares me.
18:33Athleisure specifically is not something that I normally do.
18:37Unfortunately, time is not on our side in this competition.
18:42Christian has his doubts about this corset, but we're sticking to our guns.
18:47Hmm.
18:48What are you doing?
18:49I am doing an oversized hoodie, which I'm thinking about cropping.
18:54I did the pin tuck in my hand.
18:56Mm-hmm.
18:57It's going to have the same pin tuck in all over the pants as well.
19:00Oh.
19:01So you're also doing a sweat.
19:04Oversized sweat pants.
19:05Oversized sweat pant in the same fabric.
19:08Is the pant wide like that wide?
19:10It's the wide.
19:11You haven't even looked at each other's stuff and she's like right in front of you.
19:15Honestly, I really don't know much about what my team is doing.
19:19This is it.
19:20Yes.
19:21Looks very similar.
19:22Having looked at the other designers on my team, I've just been too focused.
19:26So we just have a wide pant off on the runway in the same fabric.
19:32What the ?
19:33Like what am I going to do next?
19:34I need to think fast and pivot into some other different silhouette.
19:37If I don't succeed, I'm worried it might put me on the bottom.
19:47So I'm looking at Team Lotus and it does not fit the brief that we got.
19:52What's going on?
19:53It's going to be the pop out.
19:54So we both have mesh.
19:55Their looks are looking a little all over the place.
19:57I think that we're going to take this one home.
19:59I look at the other team.
20:01It's like crickets in that side of the room.
20:03No one's really talking to each other.
20:05And here we are like, you know, blah, blah, blah.
20:08And then at night she just puts a glove in, honey.
20:11Okay, this, do this.
20:12Like we're helping each other.
20:14Yes.
20:15Yes.
20:16Ethan, I hate to tell you, but you will be the losing team.
20:21Are you ready?
20:22Let's go.
20:23Models, let's go.
20:24Woo!
20:25Woo!
20:26Woo!
20:27Woo!
20:28Woo!
20:29Woo!
20:30This very cool jacket with a pleated skirt.
20:34That's the top?
20:35I think so.
20:36So how does one do anything athletic in that top?
20:41Sean.
20:42I think I'm over here eating it up and it's just like, yeah, no.
20:47No.
20:48Are we playing tennis where you tie your arms up?
20:52If I don't come through with this bra, like, I feel like the whole look is going to go kaput.
20:57It's so different when I design on paper and design on you.
21:02You trend's pleated skirt, it's really short.
21:05I thought it was a mistake, but it's not a mistake.
21:09Because mama, I'm a slut.
21:12You decided?
21:13Yeah, yeah, I'm going to do some nice shorts and then the cargo pockets.
21:19That shoe, are you nuts?
21:20What kind of shoe?
21:21Blah.
21:22Whoa, what?
21:23Let me buy something.
21:25That tic-tac shoe.
21:29You have no side seam.
21:31Uh-uh, there's no side seam.
21:32Interesting.
21:34You can do that.
21:36Look at her butt.
21:37That's crazy.
21:38These pants are styled after a Japanese hakama pant, where there aren't really side seams and all of the volume is put into pleats across the back.
21:49Since we're paying homage to my Japanese ancestress,
21:54it's really important for me to nail this look that I make.
21:58And I am feeling the pressure.
22:03Bye, models.
22:04Thank you so much.
22:06Hello?
22:07Oh, I have to take this.
22:08Sorry.
22:09You're going to be laughing when that little hem falls out.
22:11I'm going to tear it up.
22:13I'm feeling really good about my look.
22:15But what if your team doesn't?
22:17But after the model fitting, I'm feeling a little worried about my team.
22:20Alex has these grand ideas, but she is running out of time.
22:24And Angelo's work is looking a little simple.
22:27If Jesus kills it, then I lost a valuable player.
22:30I hope that I made the right decision.
22:32Guys, our muses are here.
22:33Look at this.
22:34All right, designers.
22:35Send your models to the Ulta beauty salon.
22:36We got three hours to finish up these looks and send these girls down the runway.
22:49It's crunch time.
22:50Glowy, dewy kind of thing.
22:51I love it.
22:52Or maybe something that's been like smudged a little bit.
22:56That's it right there.
22:57Bye.
22:58Bye, everybody.
22:59Have fun.
23:00Until next time.
23:01Is there a leader this time?
23:04No, because I think we don't want to have a leader technically because we don't want
23:09to blame someone.
23:10The last team challenge, I think Jesus was acting as the leader because he talked a lot.
23:17But this time, we don't have a leader, so it's a mess.
23:21All right.
23:22Five minutes, you guys.
23:23Five minutes.
23:24We're leaving this room.
23:25That's the back of the pant?
23:27Mm-hmm.
23:28Okay.
23:29Well, I know I ain't in the back.
23:32I'm worried about Alex.
23:34She's looking not finished.
23:36Mm-mm-mm.
23:37Child.
23:38I mean, I got what?
23:39How many minutes?
23:40I am really concerned with how the top is turning out and the cut of the pant.
23:45Are there pockets?
23:46No.
23:47No.
23:48All right.
23:49Designers, that's it.
23:50That's time.
23:51Hello, designers.
23:52Welcome to the runway.
23:53As you know, in fashion, one day you're in and the next day, you're out.
23:56For this challenge, we ask you to create a cohesive active wear collection for Kalia that goes
24:03from workout to weekend.
24:05You worked in teams and you had only one day to create your collection.
24:09All right, let's meet our judges.
24:10All right, let's meet our judges.
24:11CFDA award-winning stylist and image architect, La Roche.
24:16Editor-in-Chief of Elle magazine, Nina Garcia.
24:18And our guest judge and co-owner of the fashion line, favorite daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:25I'm so excited to see Miss Sarah Foster.
24:27She has a really good head on her shoulders around how to make a woman feel beautiful and
24:34comfortable in the clothes.
24:35She's gorgeous.
24:36Okay, we're ready.
24:37Let's start the show.
24:38It's going to be flaming hot.
24:39I wish I had a mark on her.
24:40All right.
24:41All right.
24:42All right.
24:43All right.
24:44All right.
24:45All right.
24:46All right.
24:47All right.
24:48All right.
24:49All right.
24:50All right.
24:51All right.
24:52All right.
24:53All right.
24:54All right.
24:55All right.
24:56I wish I had a marshmallow.
24:57This got flammable hair now.
24:59Wait a minute.
25:00I told you it was going to be hot.
25:01And I was not talking about Hans and Franz.
25:03Hey, wait a minute.
25:06Let's go.
25:11Look at us now.
25:14I do feel like I have successfully captured the essence of this challenge with creating
25:20something that goes from workout to weekend.
25:22With the pin tucking, the silhouette, the styling is really good.
25:26And I'm feeling really confident.
25:28Oh, she's a professional.
25:29You know, you know.
25:31Look at us now.
25:33I'm very proud of this look.
25:35My look looks very modern, sexy, and fun.
25:38And the red line on the jacket is everything.
25:41That is a short skirt.
25:42But she's got some good legs.
25:44Look at us now.
25:45Now.
25:46Here I come.
25:47I'm just looking at the outfit.
25:48It's not as bad as I expected it to be.
25:51But I know what's going on on the inside.
25:56It's messy.
25:57I'm not happy about it.
25:58It could have been worse.
25:59It could have also been better.
26:00I like that.
26:01I would wear that.
26:02You're very generous.
26:03Oh, no.
26:04With my athleisure look, I'm feeling pretty satisfied.
26:05I like it.
26:06I think it's cute.
26:07It's nothing, like, really shocking.
26:09But I am just elated that the athleisure challenge is in the past.
26:27She's got it.
26:31She looks amazing.
26:36I've worked hard to achieve that details,
26:39that those string woven by hand,
26:42I cut all those holes individually.
26:44It takes a lot of work to create that textile.
26:46I want to make sure that every piece that I make
26:50is a labor of love.
26:51I don't get that curly hair with that.
26:56With that side fin, it's flowing down the runway.
26:59It's got movement.
27:01Oh, it looks so good.
27:04I would wear that now.
27:05I may have slayed a little bit too hard this week,
27:07so I'm hoping that it can pull this team through to the win.
27:17This look, it's very universal.
27:19This girl can do Pilates and then put some heels on,
27:23put a jacket on, and go have a cocktail
27:24with the girl just at night.
27:26I'm proud of myself.
27:27It would mean a lot to win this challenge
27:29and have that collab with Leah.
27:30Coming from the crowd, I'ma shut it down.
27:33I'm happy with how this look turned out.
27:39I feel like it's me.
27:40And I'm starting to be more confident in what I'm designing
27:43and believe whatever I'm creating is good.
27:46Do it like this.
27:50I see my look coming down the runway,
27:53and I'm thinking, OK, yes.
27:54Even though I didn't choose this fabric,
27:57I was able to be a team player.
27:59And I think that she looks fabulous.
28:01I love the drama.
28:02This is the future.
28:04You better own it.
28:05I nailed it.
28:06Oh, no.
28:07Oh, my God.
28:09This is the moment.
28:11He records.
28:13They're going to watch me now.
28:14Well, we know who that is.
28:16My model is looking so everything.
28:22And then she unzipsed this jacket.
28:24And it's just like, oh, welcome to the party.
28:26Bring out the tatas.
28:28I took a risk with almost recreating my previous look.
28:32And I hope this paid off.
28:40That's my girl.
28:41Wow.
28:41Like, I'm just literally getting chills.
28:44The way she's walking, the way that the pants are moving,
28:46how powerful she looks.
28:48I'm feeling great.
28:50I could definitely see this in stores
28:52and see a lot of people wanting these pants,
28:54wanting this bomber, even the bag.
28:56I love this.
28:58Our team, everything was executed beautifully.
29:01And I think that that showed on the runway.
29:02We did go good.
29:04We did it.
29:05I am not worried about myself.
29:07But it's hard to tell, you know, it's two different vibes.
29:10So I hope that the switch doesn't come back to bite me
29:13in the butt.
29:18Hello, hello, hello.
29:20Bravo.
29:21That was a show worthy of fire.
29:23Congrats to all of you.
29:25We have scored your designs.
29:27In one house, ran circles around the other.
29:33Antonio.
29:34Joan.
29:35Yes.
29:36Josep, Jesus, and Bolania.
29:42You are the winning house.
29:43Oh, what?
29:44Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
29:47I don't think that's it.
29:48I told you.
29:51Alex, Angelo, Madeline, Eugene, BJ, and Ethan.
29:57You are our least favorite collection.
30:00Damn.
30:02We're going to talk to you later, and you can leave the runway.
30:05Damn it.
30:07My squad being in the bottom, that's unfortunate.
30:11I don't know what happened.
30:14I don't get it.
30:15We just clearly took two different directions, team-wise.
30:20Chips fall where they may, right?
30:22This challenge meant a lot to me.
30:24I just got in my head.
30:27I just hope that I get to stay.
30:32Congratulations.
30:33What we really liked about your collection
30:35is that there was a cohesion.
30:37Thank you so much.
30:38All right, we would like to talk to the designers
30:40that were our three favorite looks.
30:42And that is you, Joseph, Olania, and you, Jesus.
30:48Thank you, Jesus.
30:49So that means Joan.
30:50Yes.
30:51And Antonio, you're safe.
30:53But I do have to tell you, Antonio,
30:56we all thought that yours was our least favorite
30:59in the winning team.
31:03Thank you so much.
31:04You can leave the runway.
31:05Nice meeting you guys.
31:06Bye.
31:06My brother's in the top again for the second week.
31:09I thought my look was really good.
31:10I want to be on top.
31:11It sucks.
31:13So I am just ready to prove these judges wrong.
31:16All right, let's bring out your models.
31:19Come on, girls.
31:22Yes.
31:22What's up, Oscar?
31:23Oh, we did it.
31:24We're going to start with the designer
31:26where we didn't have to guess a whole lot who made it,
31:29and that is Joseph.
31:30Without a doubt, when we saw her walk down the runway,
31:33we knew it was you.
31:34And I think she could actually work out in this
31:36because of her little shorts under.
31:37Oh, surprise, surprise.
31:40Yay.
31:41And she could throw on a pump or a heel
31:43and go straight to the weekend, which that was the challenge.
31:46Thank you so much.
31:47I would wear that jacket to the gym,
31:49but then I'd also wear it to dinner that night
31:51with a pair of jeans.
31:52I don't, I'm into you.
31:53I don't know how else I can say it.
31:55I mean, I was into all of it.
31:56I like your look, too.
31:57I like her vibe.
31:58It stands out.
31:59It's memorable.
32:00To me, she's badass and flirty at the same time.
32:03Thank you, Joseph.
32:05Thank you so much, everyone.
32:07All right, Belania, you're next.
32:09Oh, Lauren.
32:09I really love the work that you did on this top.
32:13I think it's really beautiful.
32:15I love all the details that you made with the pockets, correct?
32:21And I love the fact that you considered an option.
32:25She can be resurred with the turtleneck,
32:27and she can be super sexy without it.
32:30Without, yep.
32:30I mean, I like that fabric, as you can see, I have to think.
32:33The detail of the skirt is really cool,
32:36and it's a flattering waistband.
32:38Waistbands can go very unflattering very easily.
32:43Whatever it is, I like it.
32:45All right, that leaves us with Jesus.
32:47Jesus, I have to say this.
32:49You have done something that a lot of people cannot do,
32:54and that is to shut me up.
32:57Wow.
32:57I was so tough on you on the runway,
33:00and you were in the winning group,
33:01and I was still tough on you on the runway.
33:03I actually hated your look.
33:05She doesn't look cool.
33:06She doesn't look young.
33:07I think this is so versatile.
33:09I think that a girl could really work out with this.
33:11And sellable, too.
33:12Yeah.
33:13Work out with it, and then wear it out on the weekend.
33:16I would wear those pants in a heartbeat.
33:18The pant turns into a straight-leg pant.
33:21She could wear it like this.
33:22I mean, she could open up a little.
33:24Well done on that.
33:25It's great.
33:26Fabulous.
33:27Chic and effortless.
33:29What I also love is the detail,
33:32the fact that you thought about the zipper on the side.
33:35Can you turn around?
33:36And that little pocket, with that little black detail.
33:41Those details all matter, right?
33:44Yeah, thank you, Nina.
33:45I want to be this girl that would wear this.
33:47Thank you so much.
33:49But now is the moment of truth.
33:53They can only be one winner.
33:58And, Jesus, it's you.
33:59You were our favorite look.
34:00Congratulations.
34:01Oh, he's crying.
34:03Don't be hiding those tears.
34:04I want to see them.
34:08Those are tears of joy.
34:09Yeah.
34:10Not only are you the winner, but that also means that Kalia will also produce and sell your look.
34:17And I'm going to buy it.
34:18Me too.
34:19I love it.
34:20Congratulations.
34:21We're all going to wear it.
34:22Wow.
34:23Thank you guys so much.
34:24All right.
34:25You can leave the runway.
34:27Oh my gosh, we did it.
34:28Ethan, you got rid of me and I prove you wrong.
34:31I truly believe that if I would have stayed in his team, we would have won again.
34:36When I came on Project Runway 15 years ago, I was so young.
34:46I wasn't really out of the closet at that time.
34:49And I didn't know who I was as a designer.
34:51And now coming back, I am a loud, gay, queer boy.
34:55So to win the challenge and do this collab with Kalia, it just reassured my purpose of
35:00why I'm here, to create really amazing stuff and to be on top.
35:06Unfortunately, you were our least favorite collection.
35:12Ethan, your team, you.
35:17Unfortunately, you were our least favorite collection.
35:24Ethan, your team, you.
35:27Ethan, tell us, why do you think you guys are up here?
35:32Yeah, I, I, I think it's, I think we did a great job.
35:37I think you did a great job.
35:39Oh.
35:40You had my favorite piece.
35:42I agree.
35:43So modern.
35:45Do you regret switching one person out?
35:48I, I don't want to say I shot myself in the foot because I love our team.
35:53I don't believe you.
35:55I think you knew that you had a great look and you didn't give a about the other people on
35:59I think.
36:03Damn.
36:04All right, Alex, Angelo and BJ, you are our least favorite looks.
36:09That means Eugene, Ethan and Madeline.
36:12You're safe.
36:13You can leave the runway.
36:19All right, BJ, let's start with you.
36:21Let's start with the positives because there is a positive here.
36:24The silhouette, I think is nice.
36:25I like the length.
36:26I like that it's not a midi and it's not a mini.
36:28I think that's versatile.
36:30A lot of people can wear that.
36:31It's just really, that's the, that's all I liked about it.
36:34You guys like the ties dangling?
36:35I love the ties.
36:37I think it kind of looks like a tampon.
36:38I think, oh.
36:40I mean, this is, this is unwearable.
36:43I also don't understand this girl.
36:45I think the work that you've done, I think it's quite beautiful, but it doesn't scream active
36:49wear to me at all.
36:50Like I don't get it.
36:51That's the problem.
36:52That's the problem, yeah.
36:53Make this a top, a pair of black leggings and call it a day and you would have had a
37:01hit.
37:02This didn't need to be a cocktail dress.
37:04Out of context.
37:05All right, Angelo, let's hear about your look.
37:09I designed men's street wear, so I just wanted to stay true to myself.
37:13I think where you have to be careful, Angelo, is that it felt to me a little safe and boring.
37:22You really need to bring in a sense of drama.
37:25Step it up.
37:26Listen, I'm a basic bitch, so I love sweats.
37:29I think this is cool.
37:30I like this.
37:31It's different.
37:32You know what I mean?
37:33It's not for me, but I appreciate that you added that detail on sweats.
37:36I think it's really well made, but it's just there was no showmanship to it.
37:41Yeah.
37:42You know, I think that's where you fell flat.
37:43Okay.
37:45All right.
37:46Alex, tell us about your look.
37:47So quite a few of my pieces are also inspired by kimonos.
37:51I incorporate into the way that I create different pieces.
37:54Is that part of your heritage to kimono?
37:56Yes.
37:57My grandmother was Japanese.
37:58Okay.
37:59So I go to the sauna a lot and I love a corset.
38:03I don't care what the situation is.
38:04At the sauna to relax.
38:06Well, obviously, you're not going to wear a corset in the sauna, but post-sauna you can...
38:10But you gave her a corset.
38:11She doesn't look comfortable at all.
38:13She can't work out in this.
38:15Guys, the story has to match.
38:18You cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining.
38:20I'm sorry.
38:21Okay.
38:22Well, the corset, you're right.
38:23But the pant and the sweater top, I did like.
38:25I liked the movement coming down the runway.
38:27I don't know when it was coming down.
38:28I was like, oh, it looks kind of like Laura Piano vibes.
38:30Laura Piano vibes.
38:31Come on, guys.
38:32Turn around, please.
38:33No.
38:34Do you see the seam of the pant when she turns around?
38:39There's the puckering.
38:40Yeah, it is a struggle in the back.
38:42There's a little bit of a problem with this bib that falls from the corset.
38:47I think there's too many ideas put in.
38:49The flap in the front, the flaps down the arms.
38:51The flap on the sleeve.
38:52She's playing homage to her heritage and, you know.
38:54Yes, I love that.
38:55But I don't see that in the look at all.
38:57No.
38:58All right.
38:59There's a lot for us to talk about.
39:01You can leave the runway.
39:07Let's talk about Angelo.
39:09It is a tough competition to be in if you're that much of a minimalist.
39:13Because this is a show and you're competing with people that are going to razzle dazzle.
39:18You have to remember you are in a competition.
39:20You have to remember that.
39:22Give us a show.
39:25Vijay's look was actually really good.
39:27I hated it.
39:28The ties were insane.
39:30I thought the dress was really well made.
39:33It was just out of context.
39:34Yes.
39:35I would buy that.
39:36It was the wrong story.
39:37The sneakers with it is for me the worst.
39:39Yeah.
39:40She has to really watch out for her styling because I don't think she's got it together.
39:45And it's, as we all know, a full polished look that has to come down.
39:49Yeah.
39:50It may not be at leisure wear, but I hope that the judges will appreciate the hard work that I put in that dress.
39:58Alexis was an eyesore.
39:59The execution was really poor.
40:01And frankly, I also thought her styling was bad.
40:04Yeah.
40:05That as a top, I could work with that.
40:07Like with jeans and I literally can't work with any of it.
40:11I do not want to be part of a judging panel where everybody gets a trophy.
40:15It was really bad.
40:17It was bad.
40:18I agree.
40:19I'm not ready to go home this early in the game.
40:22I want my daughter to see her dad give it his all to achieve the dream of becoming the next big thing in fashion.
40:29It has been so much fun.
40:31I'm so pissed though.
40:32It's disappointing knowing what you have to offer and not doing that.
40:40I just hope that I have the chance to show people what I bring to the table as a creative.
40:46Oh, God.
40:48My girl, Alex, she's in the bottom.
40:52I wonder if things would have been different if I kept Jesus and next Vijay.
40:57Maybe I should have been more of a leader.
41:00There's a part of me that's thinking that this is because of me.
41:04One mistake can send you home.
41:07Roger Crenwe is, I know it's going to change my life for the better.
41:15I just hope that the judges will give me another chance.
41:18Next time on Project Runway.
41:22I think we're going to blow it up.
41:24Ethan and Jesus, you'll be picking your houses.
41:28I always wanted to start my own house.
41:30Each house must show that boring can be brilliant.
41:33Sofia Vergara will wear the winning look.
41:36What is all that?
41:39Fringe?
41:41Oh, Lord.
41:43Wait, you have nothing to try on.
41:44Oh, no.
41:45Ethan, your team has no clothes.
41:47It's super sexy.
41:50It was perfect for me.
41:52I'm in shock, actually.
41:54I did not come to work to look at a bunch of ugly clothes.
41:57I am pissed off.
