An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 struck Johor early on Sunday morning (Aug 24).

The earthquake occurred at 6.13 am, according to a statement from the Meteorological Department.

00:07According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the quake occurred at 6.13am,
00:13with its epicentre located 5km west of Segamat, at a depth of 10km.
00:19Tremors were felt in many areas of Johor, as well as Negeri Sembilan, Malacca and southern Pahang.
00:26The Johor state government has urged the public to stay away from unsafe structures
00:31and remain alert to official instructions.
00:34Mentri Basar Datuk On Hafiz Ghazi confirmed that no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
