Mahomes happy with the Chiefs' offensive line performance ahead of their season opener

00:00I was super excited to get out there, especially at Arrowhead,

00:03and get real reps with these guys.

00:05You know, I always talk about getting hit and stuff like that.

00:08But to get the feel for the pocket, the trust with those guys,

00:11and give guys chances to make plays downfield,

00:14it shows that all the hard work that we put in

00:15and training camp is paying off.

00:17And this is a little step,

00:18but it's a little step in the right direction.

00:20And so we're excited now to have two weeks to kind of prepare,

00:24to play a really good defense in the Chargers.

00:26And so it was a good step today,

00:28and we'll continue to build as we get ready for the regular season.

00:31We on this team, we want to get out there and give chances to showcase

00:34that what we're doing is paying off.

00:35And with new offensive linemen and a couple of new receivers

00:39and getting guys back that were injured last year,

00:42you want to go out there and showcase what you've been working on.

00:44And I thought we did a good job of that today.
