00:00But you saw the way this game was speculating and shaping up.

00:02We talked about it yesterday where the beat reporters were saying,

00:05hey, Patriots are running their starters a lot in practice.

00:07That means they're probably not going to play.

00:08Ben Woolridge played the entire game at quarterback.

00:11Shane Watts was getting 15 carries in the backfield for the Patriots.

00:14Meanwhile, you knew you had a couple really good options.

00:17Russell Wilson, we didn't know if he was going to play,

00:19but even if he didn't, you knew Jackson Dart was going to get some snaps,

00:21and he looks really good.

00:22Jameis Winston is a veteran.

00:24If he got in there, you know he was going to sling it

00:26and filled in, quite frankly, after Jackson Dart left the field,

00:28throws a deep touchdown pass.

00:30Then, hey, Tommy DeVito, spinning the second half.

00:3217 of 20 for a buck, 98, and three scores.

00:34He started a couple NFL games in his career already

00:36and still wants to try to make the team.

00:38This was one of those games where I thought they would throw touchdown passes.

00:41I didn't think they'd throw five.

00:42Did I think they would win?

00:43Yes, and cover.

00:44Did I think they'd win by 32?

00:45No.

00:46But that was one of those games, Joe,

00:47where you had a distinct advantage on the New York Giants.

00:50Yeah, and you had a very low total in that one, too,

00:54which, you know, the Giants alone went flying over.

00:57I mean, it's not like both of those teams have not been averaging 30

01:00or more points in the preseason.

01:02But with New England sitting everybody and signing guys off of USFL leagues

01:09to come in and play, you kind of had a feeling that the Giants

01:12had a big edge at home.

01:15You knew Dart was going to play at least the first quarter.

01:18But, again, lucky.

01:21He showed great promise, but he also showed he's still a rookie quarterback

01:25taking that unnecessary hit, which, you know, put him in the blue tent,

01:30which is never great.

01:31He did pass the concussion protocol.

01:33But then Jameis and DeVito, two guys with a lot of experience,

01:37they just lit up those third stringers there in the second half.
