00:00Fifty-one initiatives have been announced by Uzbekistan's president during this year's Entrepreneurs' Day.
00:09They cover tax reforms, infrastructure development, youth entrepreneurship, tourism and export support.
00:16The annual open dialogue between the president and business leaders has become more than just a forum for discussion.
00:23This day has been celebrated since 2021, when it was established as a platform to highlight the role of entrepreneurship in the country's economy.
00:52Around 7,000 business owners were interviewed and more than 13,000 appeals were received through call centers.
01:00Around 300 entrepreneurs took part in the dialogue, including those who have joined remotely from across Uzbekistan.

01:25On the occasion of this year's Entrepreneurs' Day, the president also awarded a number of active entrepreneurs

01:45And we know that tourism is one of the biggest now industry which is giving the greatest opportunities to develop in Uzbekistan.
01:56The president underlined the symbolic significance of holding this year's meeting in New Tashkent, a big project for the building of a new part of the city that embodies the country's bold steps toward renewal and progress.
02:11With VAT now reduced to 12% and new incentives in place, businesses switching from turnover tax get a year free of profit tax, protection from penalties and even support with accountant costs.
02:24And as Uzbekistan's president, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced, with the government's amnesty running until November 1, entrepreneurs have the chance to correct their mistakes and start dating with a clean slate.
