00:00My dad, when I was sitting with him, when he had Alzheimer's, and he said to me,
00:05do you hear the water? And I go, no, that's traffic, Daddy, you're listening to River Road.
00:10And he goes, no, no, I hear the water going down in the fountain. I said, no, no, that's the traffic
00:15on the highway that you hear. It's water. I said, okay, it's water. He goes, isn't it beautiful? I
00:22said, I love the sound of water. He goes, I do too. I love you sitting here with me,
00:27listening to the water. I said, yeah, me too, Daddy. I love sitting with you listening to the
00:32water. Once I stopped trying to have him be somebody or listen to something or be accurate,
00:42and I just got into his brainwave, we had this beautiful moment because I wasn't fighting with
00:49him to be someone that he wasn't. And I think that's a great message for life for people who
00:55don't have Alzheimer's.
