Right, yes, go ahead.
00:02
I'm Ben Wish, my first principal of Waden School.
00:05
And I'm Ben Wish, my first principal of Waden School.
00:07
So very, very proud today.
00:09
Right, what's made you so proud?
00:11
I just think the results that these students have achieved was absolutely amazing.
00:17
They were great New Zealand that they had at very different times.
00:21
So they did six years of SATs.
00:24
And then they had a very different start to secondary school.
00:27
And despite all of that, they had absolutely gone.
00:30
I cried.
00:31
Incredible.
00:32
So they are the Covid youngsters.
00:37
They were really very disruptive.
00:40
And they've done exceptionally well.
00:43
So they came here in September 2020 then?
00:46
Yes.
00:47
Yes.
00:48
Yes, they've done very well.
00:51
And what's the overall percentage of passes here?
00:56
So at the moment we're looking at around 92% in terms of GCSEs from both 94, including English and maths.
01:03
Yeah.
01:04
Which we're really really proud of.
01:06
We're also really proud of the amount of 9 to 7 grades.
01:09
Yeah.
01:10
So we're about 48% of our exam entries are GCSEs grade 9 to 7.
01:14
But alongside that we're absolutely delighted with the young people they've become.
01:17
Yeah.
01:18
We've had a really really good year with them.
01:20
And they've done incredibly well.
01:22
They're fantastic role models I think for future year groups.
01:26
And I think both of us are really really proud of the staff.
01:29
The staff have worked exceptionally hard with the students.
01:31
And it's a lovely day just to see students and staff alongside each other celebrating fantastic outcomes.
01:37
Yeah.
01:38
Wonderful.
01:39
Thank you very much indeed.
01:40
And well done everybody.
01:41
Thank you very much indeed.
01:42
Thank you very much.
01:43
You are very impressed.
01:45
Thank you very much everybody.
